A once quality piece of gear that now shouldn’t even be sold at Walmart.
For those of us who have been using these grips for awhile now we have all noticedthe decline in quality. They used to have an all fabric band, now it’s crappy plastic like a junk pair from a box store. Even the leather is a shadow of what it once was. The dye even leaves your hands black if the grips get wet. My first pair lasted over a year. My second 4 months before the stitching on the wrist wrap popped (3rd time this has happened to people in my box). This last pair made it 8 pull-ups before both ripped like construction paper. I’m not mad I’m out 40 bucks, I’m mad because they had a good product and they made it piss poor quality while keeping the price the same. This will be my last pair and I will warning others to stay away, as should you.

These Stain your hands black
I haven't had these grips that long and haven't used them much, but they took a decent amount of time to break in..Well, I wore them this last weekend to do Murph. half way through the workout, i noticed a discoloration in my hands when i was adjusting the grips. I aint not quitter, so I kept going. After the workout I took the photos attached. My hands were stained black from the leather. I washed my hands numerous times. Finally i decided to take an exfoliating stone and scrub the heck out of my hands. Which got most of it out.I looked at my (favorite) shirt that i wore during the workout and there were black stains from my hands readjusting my shirt during the workout. Then, the (brand new) spare shirt i had left in my bag got black stains all over it.I was very annoyed, so I threw the grips into the wash, because they had a film of slime on them. Let them soak for an hour. Then a prewash, and a regular wash. Yes, they were all stiff and deformed now, but I was hoping that they wouldn't stain anymore...Well, I wore them this morning and surprise surprise, my wrists and hands were stained black again. I'm going to reach out to Bear Komplex to advise them of the defect. I'm not wanting a replacement pair (or shirts), but maybe recognition and an apology,Will update if there is anything to update

Just didn't work for me.
I really tried to like these. I'm sure they will be great for someone else. Unfortunately, a couple of things didn't work for me... first, the extra leather between the fingers bothers me. I have small hands and I don't workout with rings on because of the pressure it puts on the neighboring fingers... the extra "material" does something similar. Also, the design pulls on my wrists so much that I have to keep the wrists loose. They are fine for hanging, for example, but anything where your hand is flexed back ... think about the end of a "clean"... it will pull uncomfortably on the wrists.I did start wearing them on my pointer and middle finger and they were actually marginally better that way but still not a winner for me.

Good grips - highly recommend
I've been doing CrossFit for four years and enjoy pull-ups, T2B, Muscle Ups, etc but tend to tear my hands bad during these movements. About a year and half ago, I purchased a pair of cheap gymnastic hand wraps (white, around $20), and used them for Metcons. They took a long time to break in, but once worn, they were excellent until the cheap straps broke along the wristline. Unlike others, I didn't have a problem with the cheap velcro hurting my wrists - I think that's a function of losing grip and then straining the straps. Having said that, the velcro straps finally gave up the ghost and fell apart.I bought these Bear Komplex grips as them seemed to have better build quality than the generic gymnastic grips. The two main differences I found when I began to use these grips is that the leather is thicker than the generic ones, and the wrist strap structure is far superior. I initially thought the increased thickness was a major problem and that the space between my hand and bar was not good; however, after only a few uses the grips wore in very well and have surpassed my expectations. The key is that the Komplex leather is more supple and conforms around your fingers much more quickly than the cheap ones do. After ten uses, I am now as comfortable with the Komplex grips as I was after six months with the cheap ones. My suggestion is to do a bunch of T2B's and kettle bell swings before a class for a few weeks to wear in the grips before use - don't freak out during this break in period as the Komplex grips may feel really thick and it will be very hard to hold on to the bar. Once they break in that feeling goes away and you'll get good purchase on the bar without tearing skin.

Great product
I have never used these type of grips before and I thought I'd give them a try. After reviewing other products, I figured I'd Bear Komplex my money. I'm very happy I did. I wanted to wait till I used them before I wrote my review. Since I've got them, I've done Murph (these saved my hands on the pull ups and prevented me from slipping while I did push ups), a in house comp at my box that required a ton of KB sings, and I've been training for an outdoor comp with a ton of pull ups in it. One training session, my friend and I swapped...I used his Woddies and he got my BKs. Definitely not the same. BK's closure is better and the "leather" on the Woddies isn't as good. I feel confident when I put these on and I know BK will eventually get more of my money when I buy a second pair (always gotta have different color options!).

Would never buy the leather ones again
The leather ones broke within a month. The stitching connecting the wrist support to the palm protection broke way too easily. Better off getting a cheaper pair as they’ll do a better job and save you money

Customer service was amazing!
Ordered these in a size small, by error a size medium was delivered. They rectified the problem quickly! Refunding my postage and 10% as a gesture of goodwill. Item is just as described and saved my hands this morning in the gym! Would definitely order again when I’ve worn these ones out! Thank you.
