Great for restlessness, sleep disorders, anxiety, etc....
I'm not one to write reviews often, but for this, I felt I really needed to for those with sleep issues like me.I have inattentive type ADHD and I take a stimulant medication for it and I also have gen anxiety. It often leaves me feeling incredibly restless in the evenings and makes it hard to fall and stay asleep. So my doctor prescribed sleep medication. However, I hate taking it because it leaves me feeling incredibly groggy and takes hours to snap out of it the next day.I was faced with no/poor sleep or groggy/tired days dilemma. As of late, it seems I haven't been sleeping well at all night after night and I did not want to have to return to taking the medication again. So, I took a chance on this blanket on a lightning deal and thought that if it didn't work, I could always repurpose or donate it if I couldn't return it. I was hesitant before because of the great expense of some of these blankets. This one even had a coupon. Glad I took the chance because it is completely worth it!I bought the 15lbs,48"x 72" for 140-150lbs Individual size. I honestly weigh more than that, but I didn't feel as though I would need 20lbs. It seemed overkill in that weight and I didn't want a suffocating feeling. I'm not very tall either at 5'3" so this size was perfect for me. It is wide enough to cover me completely, but not too big that it bothers my husband. If I were taller, a heavier weight would probably make more sense. The first night I used it, I felt like I hadn't slept so well IN YEARS.Once you get used to the weight of it, it is incredibly comforting and calming. Once my body was calm, my brain soon followed and I fell asleep very quickly and woke up in the same position I fell asleep in.As soon as I got it, I immediately tested it out for about ten minutes just to be sure I would even like it before attempting to do so when I was in bed for the night so that it wasn't anxiety provoking. I recommend trying it out first so it isn't surprising to your body when you're ready to crash for the night. I'm normally a side sleeper, but I slept perfectly on my back. This isn't too heavy that you couldn't sleep on your side. I have tried that way as well. It is not as comfortable on the back, but certainly attainable. The weight of each of the filled pockets are evenly distributed so there isn't an odd pull anywhere. If you wanted any extra weight in an area, like over your chest, stomach, or feet, it folds and distributes evenly that way too.The material has a microfiber feel to it, but I would recommend a thin cover for it if you have any sensory processing disorders or just are a person who likes super-soft covering when you're sleeping. It has small loops for a duvet cover to tie onto it. A sheet underneath would work fine, or it alone is good enough. If you are a warm or hot sleeper, this will make you warmer because of the weight, it can add insulation, but it is by far not unbearable. It doesn't make me sweaty but I do point a desk fan on me from my nightstand for extra circulation just in case I do get warm.If you're concerned about aesthetics, it lies underneath my bed comforter without much bulk of being seen. It seems, looks, and feels high enough quality, but only the test of time will show durability. Beyond well worth the price I paid for it.Do I recommend this product? YES. So much YES.It has only been a few nights of use and I think this is going to significantly improve my quality of life because of my increased quality of sleep. Hope this review helps those hesitant on a purchase like this. I wish I had gotten one sooner!

Must Have For Light Sleepers.
For years, I've had trouble getting a good night of sleep. I'd wake up every morning with a killer headache and a sore jaw from grinding my teeth. Melatonin, eye masks, blackout curtains, light alarms, I've tried them all. They'd help for maybe a couple days or even a week, but I could never consistently get a refreshing night of rest. Frankly, I was at a point that I thought this was normal and I just wasn't a normal person. Then, one of my friends recommended I try a weighted blanket, swearing up and down that this was the magic bullet when it came to getting a good night of sleep.I'll admit it. When I first heard about the weighted blanket trend, I was skeptical. How could something as simple as a heavy blanket make all the difference, but I figured for 60 bucks, I didn't have much to lose. When the package arrived, it came in a very sturdy bag, with a card inside thanking me for my purchase and listing out the specs and care instructions of the blanket. The blanket itself was of high quality, thick material and heavy duty stitching. This may sound dumb, but I was surprised at how much like a normal blanket it felt. Some preliminary research online mentioned that some weighted blankets feel strange as the pockets of weight are too large, making them feel like you have several dozen sandbags on you, rather than an actual blanket. Fortunately, the pockets of weight are small enough that this is not at all an issue. It felt like the blanket I was using before, just 4-5 times as heavy. I ordered up a size (queen) to fit my full mattress, and found that it perfectly fit the size of my mattress. After just one night with the blanket I was hooked. The weight was perfect. It was like being held by a loved one at night, without having to pay for dinner. The blanket surprisingly does not retain as much heat as I thought, keeping me comfortable in the hot mornings of California. Every morning I woke up, felt like I was a kid again, oversleeping on a Saturday morning with no plans for the day. Immediately I felt the difference; I woke up in a great mood. No headaches, no sore jaw, and no lack of focus at work.In short, if you have trouble getting sustained, high-quality sleep. This may be the solution you didn't know you needed

High quality at a great price, comforting swaddle for more restful sleep.
Im still adjusting to my 15lb weighted blanket after 1 week, but I do like it! The quality is good, it is quiet, the weight stays evenly distributed over the entire surface with the 4”quilting pattern.Once you managed to climb into bed underneath the weight, it sort of pins you down in a nice cozy way, feels comforting. I sleep soundly under it, and find that I don’t move around as much as I used to trying to get comfortable. I’ve had CRPS for 16+ years, and restless leg syndrome in that injured ankle. That was why I got the blanket, reading that they can help calm restless leg syndrome. I have a king size pillow at the foot of my bed to press my foot into and to hold the covers up, and I definitely need that with the added weight of this blanket. I have not found the added weight gives any more discomfort to my painful foot and leg, and I do think my sleep quality is improving. I have not found the added weight to add or trap heat as I expected. I have not felt claustrophobic or trapped, just cozily swaddled. One thing I don’t like is getting into and out of bed, trying to manage the heavy covers at those times is challenging. But once settled into bed after the initial struggle to get inside, the blanket is nice.I have the 15lb 48-72” size, on a full size bed. I weigh 125lbs. I think a little less weight might be adequate, might even be more comfortable, but it might defeat the purpose. I’ll keep using this and see if I adjust to the weight with another week before considering changing it for a lighter one.
