can i just say that these are the best dang lava rocks i have ever seen!!!!!! worked like a CHARM. truly an incredible product. 10/10 would recommend to a friend, relative, acquaintance, even an arch nemesis, because EVERYONE deserves to have a lava rock experience as amazing as mine. I needed to add Lava rocks to fill in my gas log set. I picked this one only because the rocks looked like the ones I already had, and the price was reasonable as compared with other online sights. I measured my rocks to get a good match. It did take 12 days to arrive (including the weekends). Very pleased with the quality. They look exactly like the photo, are not dusty, a nice amount of 10 lbs filling an 11 x 8 x 6 inch postal box.

Lava rocks perform as advertised. Takes about 5-10 minutes to truly heat up and then provides a nice warm fire glow. Deducting one star for packaging. I would request seller to place the lava rocks in a large plastic bag or at least wrap them inside the box. I opened box in my kitchen and lots of the dust came out on the counter. Nothing major just would be a nice add to prevent some dirt.

It's funny to write this, but these were a great box of rocks. They were of good size and have worked well in our chiminea. Personally, I wouldn't order any rocks smaller than these as some of these were in the 2-3 inch range.

The lava rocks weren’t even close to 3 to5 inches. We ordered 3 to 5 inches from another company originally, and they were great! They were truly the size advertised. We needed a little more lava rock for our fire pit and didn’t want to pay so much for shipping. We opted for these on Amazon with free shipping via prime. The maximum size of the rocks was 3 inches and with VERY few that size. There were far more at 1 to 2 inches. There was also had too much moisture in the bag and had a fair amount of popping lava rock.

The sizes of this lava rock were perfecvt for the inside of hurricanes and held held the candles in place

We purchased a few packages of these lava rocks for our outdoor fire pit. We finally got it built and turned it on. We had it on low and pretty soon pieces were flying off. Once I contacted the seller I was told they had received a lot of rain and the rocks could be full of water. Maybe our low heat was still “too high” to let them dry out even though they did not seem wet (but I’m not an expert). We read the directions and safety precautions. Not sure why we kept having issues, but the company made it right with us so we have nothing bad to say. The color was not really black, more reddish so maybe that was the issue? Either way heat them slow and pay attention so you do not get hurt. Based on reviews it seems hit and miss on if they explode, but there seem to be more people with good reviews, just follow directions.

The rock is perfect. Large pieces and some smaller one to fit perfectly into my gas fireplace. The pkg contains rock for me to add to and change for many years. I found a great quality product for a price I was happy with and can enjoy my fireplace this winter with the help from the company.
