I bought this to use as a temporary (as in for several years use) front door handle for our new (new to us, but actually old) home. The front door area is completely covered so I'm not worried about the elements getting to it. We plan on upgrading our door eventually but we're not sure what kind of door we will be getting yet so I didn't want to put more money into a "fancy" front door handle when I didn't know if it would be compatible with our next door. I just couldn't handle the round brass handle anymore (before and after photo attached). We had already changed out all the locks right when we moved in so this handle was a nice match to our new schlage keyless entry deadbolt. The doorknob was very easy to install, I did it myself in a couple minutes. It comes with clear instructions too if you're new to switching our handles. The hardware updates along with a fresh coat of paint on the front door have really made a huge difference and we'll be much happier living with this door for awhile longer now that it's been refreshed. This handle sits nice and level and feels good in your hand when you open the heavier metal door. We've had no issues with it at all and the finish is even better than I expected. We got it in matte black which I thought would show fingerprints/smudges but it's actually stayed looking very nice and clean and I don't notice marks of any sort on it any sooner than I would on a "normal" color door handle.All in all it looks great, feels great, and works great and we'd highly recommend this lever! We plan on getting more for our home as we gradually update and replace the interior doors as well (they all currently have the same round brass doorknob as well). Great way to give a door a whole new look without spending a whole lot of money.

This was great but the back plate ran into the housing of the deadbolt lock above it. It was by the same company and same finish type. I was surprised that they didn’t work together. I had to order a black handle with a smaller back plate from another company. That said, this one was probably nicer quality.

I love the look of these handles, and they work perfectly. I got some with locks and some without. Both are great! We haven't had any issues with the locks, and they continue to function as they should (knock on wood!) The key is easy to use if a door gets locked accidentally. A friend installed them but he said it was pretty easy. Would definitely purchase again!

Great looking lock at a great price, The brushed silver matches the Schlage deadbolt. The trim square around the lever really help this door handle stand out, i've already gotten a few compliment on it. It was very easy to re-key to match my other Schlage locks just watch the video online and it takes about 5 mins Prime-Line Products E 2402 Schlage Type C Re-Keying Kit, 5 Pin. The lever handle is easier to open when you have your hands full just press down with your elbows or use whatever you are carrying. One downside is the lever has to be at 90 degrees to open, i have used other levers that only require a 45 degree angle to open, but it's not a deal breaker and I hardly notice.Install was a breeze, came with all the hardware including strikeplates, screws, and keys. Install time under 5mins and you only need a Phillips head screwdriver.I read about the handle not being level, and when it arrived i did notice it was a bit loose and could see how it would be unlevel. On the back of the handle there are two very small pins that move every so slightly when you turn the handle that is what causes the handle to sit a little low, my solution was to turn the the handle so the pins hit the edge of the holes insuring the handle was level, and then fill in the hols with glue and let it dry for a day. No adding glue to those small holes won't effect the door handles operation or the locks movement.Great looking handle, easy to install, and easy to re-key, I have recommended Schlage handles and locks to friends.
