LUX H8 180 angel eyes produce an incredible 3600 lumen of pure white 7000k light, the halogen equivalent of 180 watts! By comparison, the stock 35 watt halogen bulb receives only 80-90% power, and then drops to 50% power to reduce heat within the headlight housing when utilized with the headlights; thus causing stock the angel eyes to become even dimmer. Our LUX H8 180 angel eyes have been designed to compensate for this dimming and always operate at full power, allowing them to be highly visible in virtually all the daytime conditions. When locking the car, the the LUX will pulse off rather than fade. In addition, LUX LED bulbs use a fraction of the power of stocks, allowing them to run cooler and have a longer lifespan.Features: Pure white 7000K white light Equivalent to 180 watt halogen bulb Over 2x brighter than stock bulbs Guaranteed no dimming with all lighting modes No flickering on startup Self Check Sequence Fully Fused and No EMI

Very bright, not as 'smooth'
True to claim, these are definitely bright. Maybe even obnoxiously so. I would welcome a 'power setting' option to fine tune the brightness a bit.As other reviews have said, expect to spend some time fiddling with the installation. I managed to get one of the original bulbs sort of 'half threaded' and wedged at an angle during removal which took quite a while to undo. I'm also not a huge fan of letting the LED driver 'blob' just float around in the lighting compartments-- seems like including some adhesive velcro strips or something to secure that part would be a good idea.Their "no flicker" claim should be taken with a grain of salt. These definitely don't do the smooth fade in/fade out in my '08 E92. They turn on bright and when turning off they dim slightly and then flicker once or twice before going off. (I thought they would have recognized the PWM ramp from the car and done their own shorter dimming cycle to simulate the full fade in/out... It *is* tricky to get a smooth fade to black over the last ~10% from high power LEDs, but the description lead me to believe they did something a little better than what I see.)Given the above nit-picks and the price of the set I would like to deduct about half a star, but given Amazon's system I need to take a full one. It seems to be a solid product that I'm generally happy with, but not *crazy* about. (I'd have given five stars if it was about half the price or if it preserved the nice fade in/fade out effect of the old halogens.)

These are great replacements for the OEM halogen angel eye bulbs
These are great replacements for the OEM halogen angel eye bulbs. I purchased these for my 2010 BMW e90 (335D). What makes these so great and popular is the fact that they are plug and play and have a nice sharp bright white look. My only negative is that compared to HID angel eye bulbs, these just don't have the same level of brightness and wow factor. However, it's a trade off. HID angel eyes give a ton of brightness, but they're reliability is not there. Even with coding out voltage monitoring for the angel eyes and setting the level to 100%, HID bulbs just seem problematic. I've been fortunate enough to run my car with both setups and I can honestly say I most happy with these LUX angel eyes. The outer halo doesn't light up as much as I hoped, but that's more of an issue with the restrictive design of the angel eye housing by BMW. This design has been greatly upgraded in the 2012+ models...as those angel eyes are wicked bright and stand out as best in class in my opinion. I've had no issues at all and they look great. Great purchase and highly recommend.

great color but flickers off on e93 m3 and DOES NOT LAST! - updated
the color is awesome the install is a pain.. a bit bulky but still able to make it work...as for the product they claim its the same as the OEM and its plug and play but it does have flickering when its going off. installed on e93 m3...power on is great and seems to stay on nicely but when turning off it starts to dim then flickers off. waiting to hear backUPDATE:: Has not been 2 months and 1 of them is dead...stay away not worth spending $200 and having something that has 1 year warranty and claims that they have lasted 8+ years...maybe days or weeks but not years....no contact # for the company after reading the forums it seems like its a 1 man shop out of his garage.

I did a bunch of research on which angel eye bulbs to get. I went with Lux since they were sold through amazon and have a great reputation. The bulbs work great and do not cause any errors on my 2008 M5. However I did discover that the wire in my headlight was very brittle and had to be repaired with electrical tape to avoid a short.I did accidentally short one of the wires and was getting a bulb out warning until i disconnected the battery to reset the computer. This is a fault of the BMW headlights and not the bulbs so I rated them 5 stars!

Error Code Malfunction
I have a 2010 BMW 328i e92, I purchased the Lux H8 160 and have had problems since purchasing them a week ago. When I first installed the first set everything was fine, than 5 mins later the bulb on the passenger side went out and I received an error code on my dash, tried to unplug it and plug it again and nothing, I ended up sending back the headlights for some replacements. When I received the new ones everything was fine for about a day and a half, until I was driving and got the code again pulled over to check my headlights and same thing happened the driver side headlight went out and doesn’t work at all. At this point I don't know if I should send them back and get some other replacements for the third time or just get my money back.

Look slick as hell
Been eyeing these for some time, but had no excuse to buy until one of the stock bulbs burned out on my 2008 BMW 535xi (E61). Considered cheaper alternatives, but decided not to risk it and spend the money.Installation was beyond simple, just had to fiddle a bit to slip the resistor into the bulb enclosure, tucking away wires was easy.Once installed the lights just worked perfectly right away. They turn on fast, there is no flickering of any kind and no other issues that I have seen - they just work. The lights are bright - they look super slick. Not only is the brightness of "angel eyes" increased, but I feel like the additional light output is helpful when driving at night, thus improving safety.I am currently on day 2 of using these lights, so cannot say anything about reliability and longevity.Attaching a photo demonstrating the different brightness levels between the new LED light (passenger side) vs the old light bulb.

Looks great! Bright
Looks great! Bright, bright white LEDs. Transforms the look of the car (E92 M3). Seems to be much more expensive than other options-- not sure if better than less expensive models but decent reviews on M3posts.The price is one thing but the installation was a pain. Didn't want to do it twice so bought what hopefully is the best. I can't believe there isn't a tool aid installation. I used a $3 cable grabber tool to insert the bulb in the housing. What would be helpful would be a set of special pliers to carefully hold the finned bulb base while trying to match up the slots.
