Great cold weather hiking pant. Not oversized like most.
Yay, lined winter pants that aren't oversized. I've been looking for winter pants in long lengths that don't fit like ski pants and are good for walking/hiking. These are those pants. Most winter pants have large ankle openings to accommodate ski boots, but these fit more like a straight-leg pant with great stretch. Great fit for walking/hiking and being active in cold weather. I will be ordering more colors because you can't beat the price, and it's next to impossible to find 36-inch length winter pants for walking/hiking that don't fit like a pair of ski pants or heavy, restrictive Carhartt/work pants. The waist size is accurate. They have elastic on the sides of the waist, and that makes them very accommodating. If you're in between sizes, you probably want to size down. Length seems accurate as well. I'm 6'4", 175 lbs, and ordered both 34 and 36-inch lengths because sometimes 34s are too short. I probably could have gone either way, but the fit of the 36 length was better. The only thing that feels cheap is the button. It's not a metal button rivet, it's a plastic button sewn on like a pair of dress pants. For a pair of active pants, that's a bummer, but not the end of the world. I haven't had the opportunity to use these in various temperatures yet. I live in Minnesota, and they feel like they would be comfortably warm between 25 and 45 degrees. Colder than that, and you may want a base layer.

Excellent quality!
These are an excellent value for the money! I’m a 68 year old female and wanted some warm pants for my winter walks. I normally wear a women’s size 10–12 pants and bought these in size medium. They fit perfectly, have lots of pockets, are very warm and comfortable. Exactly what I wanted!

Great pants, great fit. Love the longer length available!
Tried them on and was immediately impressed by the fit. It's hard for me to find pants long enough, especially these type of pants as they rarely come in anything other than one size fits all, in terms of length. I ordered the 36 length, which is usually just about right for me (maybe a touch long, but I'd rather have long than short). I find myself rolling these up just a bit so I don't step on the back. I may order again, with the 34 length which I think will be long enough. In terms of my waist, I usually wear a 34 or sometimes a 36 waist and I ordered these in 34 and the stretch makes them almost perfect. In terms of warmth, I can't say they are EXTREMELY warm, but not bad. For example, I wore them this morning on my morning walk. The temperature was 24 degrees F, with a slight breeze. I had a base layer on underneath. As I stepped outside, I could barely feel the cold...and by the end of my walk, I was sweating. I'm anxious to try these in colder weather. Windproof seems OK. I've yet to experience anything more than a "breeze", so far. Where I live, the temperature can get to sub zero, with 30 MPH winds, so the wind chill can be 30 below 0 (or even much colder on occasion - Walked in -60 degree wind chill a couple times - I'm talking bitter cold). With my previous walking pants, it would take 3 layers to handle the worst wind chill. I suspect these pants will take 3 layers at that level too. And I do walk every morning, even in those conditions. So it'll be interesting to see how they perform. I thing 2 layers will handle everything but the most intense wind chill. Waterproofing hasn't been tested yet, but I'm fairly certain they are not 100% waterproof, but at least water resistant, which should help with snow, but not a downpour of rain. They are comfortable. I do wear a belt, as the "stretch" of the elastic can make them feel a touch loose. But very comfortable! I wouldn't call them "skinny" pants at all, but I would not call them baggie at all either. I have thinner legs and I feel like these pants hug my legs well (or at least better than most ). I don't like baggy when walking moving a lot. If you are buying these to ski, I would think they might have some trouble fitting over a larger ski boot. They do stretch and may work, but they are what I would call an "athletic" fit (if not a skinny fit) Not a lot of extra material, but enough stretch to compensate some. I've only had them about 3 weeks and wear them regularly when walking and wore them one evening inside. They weren't too warm inside, but it was cold in the house! I really like these so far and would recommend them. EDIT: Still love these and have bought multiple pairs over time. The things I like the most are the custom length (which is often one standard length with most of these pants). I also like the style. As I mentioned, not SUPER warm, but they are comfortable in most cool situations and on most any cold situation with a base layer underneath. The stretch waist is both a blessing and a curse. Very comfortable, but you may need a belt with these as they feel a little "loose" at the waist. Zippers have held up pretty well, although I would say they are probably the weak point, along with the belt loops. Still....love them. Overall, I personally really like these and highly recommend.

UPDATE: Little tight across the front...
I'm 6'2" about 265lbs. I normally wear 38WX34L in jeans and that usually fits perfectly. These fit snug with that same sizing. To their benefit, they stretch nicely and move with you. The legs fit great. Across the zipper area they were a little snug but the waist fit perfectly. So it seemed if I had gone larger on the waist they may not have fit correctly at the waist at all. The comfort level is there though. They are soft and warm. I have yet to use them to ski or for any rigorous cool/cold weather activity. I will update this review once I've done so. The plan is to try and use them for skiing and see if, with a nice base layer, they keep me warm and dry enough. I have a pair of Oakly ski pants but they are large and bulky, wanted to get something a bit slimmer and less bulky to see if they would perform better. We shall see. With the snugness of the front we shall see if they flex enough for a good ski experience. The feel of the fabric seems rugged and the stitching (based on some others that reviewed the stitching came out) on these seems solid but, again, haven't put them to the test yet. The length fit perfectly and the waist fit perfectly as well for me. The problem was the fit across the zipper area and that's really about it - I'm an athletic build so my legs are a little larger then most so the pants fit snug on my legs as well but due to the stretch do not appear to be a problem. The cut of these pants are definitely for the thinner folks and not the more athletic shape. No need to buy a size up with these, like I said, the length and waist were perfect, it's the "skinny" cut that seems to make them snug. Will update with how they performed on the mountain once ski season comes back around. UPDATE: I used these skiing and performed just fine, however, they look like skinny jeans / pants and if you have a bulky ski jacket on it looks a little silly. They did the job at keeping me warm enough for a day where it was in the upper 20's and sunny while I was skiing. They kept me warm and dry enough. I did not wear them on colder ski days as I'm not sure they would have performed well enough for those days. I wear them while sitting outside by the fire when it's 40's and below and they keep me plenty warm. They are super comfortable even still after having them now for a couple cold seasons and being washed, etc. I do like these pants and they are plenty rugged as well.

I wore these trousers during a trip to Iceland late summer, and they were fantastic! They kept me dry and warm through rain, wind. The fit is great—comfortable, flexible, and perfect for hiking. Plus, the pockets are super handy for carrying essentials. If you’re heading to Iceland or any other hiking trip for that matter, these trousers are a must-have!
