I wouldn’t bother with this product, the wood is flimsy, it splinters when you put a screw in, it does not look as if it would protect a hedgehog nor is the structure sturdy enough to survive the winter. The roof also has gaps in it. To help these wonderful creatures through the winter we must provide security and warmth, this won’t provide it, waste of money and not fit for purpose. Really disappointing. Worth no stars.

This hedgehog house looks great and is very well engineered (although you have to assemble it yourself). The roof just pops on, without screws, so you can open up and check the residents or clean it out. However, what isn't clear from the description is that the inside actually consists of two small compartments, with an internal 'wall' with a hole in, orientated front to back, to split the inside into a 'reception foyer' and a 'bedroom'. The bedroom, strangely, was much smaller than the foyer part. My rescue hedgehog just about fitted in each of those two compartments, but couldn't really turn round in either, so I took the divider out, which made it usable. There is no porch to this house, so make sure it's tucked well under a hedge or bush, for protection.

This was purchased as a present for a friend. It arrived quickly. It is a flat pack, so does need to be assembled, but everything you need is in the box (apart from the tools). My friend said it was easy to put together and although he has not found a hedgehog in it yet, he is hopeful.

Arrived today, nightmare to put together, needs pieces of wood to have corresponding letters as on the very basic instructions .The roof was split, came in two pieces! if we weren’t in lockdown this would be going straight back for a refund. I don’t think we could pay a hedgehog to use this!!

Easy to build. I would say slightly on the small sizeDisappointed with the way roof has been built as was so flimsy it was broken on delivery as just stuck together so we already had to stick it together again. Hopefully it will last. Wasn’t aware it was flat pack but easy and fun to build with my son.

The product is flat packed. At least two of the pieces had splits in them, one of which looked as if it had been cut. This made the structure very fragile. I don't imagine it will last a winter.Instructions for construction are not that clear and I found it difficult to sort the pieces. Ended up abandoning the instructions and using my common sense. Certainly would not buy again

This is a DIY hedgehog house!? All you actually get is a few bits of cut wood with holes in which you have to re cut. It's also about quarter of the size you think it will be
