Works really well
The vest works surprisingly well. I bought some Lycra like shirts to wear underneath, it helps cooling and dries quickly after you take the vest off. Going into a store or restaurant, you don't look like a wet rat. Keep the bag it comes in or keep it in a v large ziplock, so you can soak it on the go. A bottle of water poured in the bag will do, or soak it in a clean stream, river, pond, sink . Put it in and weigh it down for 5 minutes, squeezing out any trapped air. Ring it out lightly and good to go. I wear it under my vented riding jacket. The wind makes it work even better. It has elastic panels and it works best tight against you rather than loose. Sizing is correct.

Works but material isn’t holding up
I have used this vest twice whilst riding my motorcycle in hot weather. It has worked well but after only two uses the material is fraying badly in one of the back corners. No washes just regular use. It remains to be seen if it gets any worse.

Works well on the motorcycle
Finally broke down and bought one of these in fear that crossing SD and ND in August on the bike would be unbearable. It ended up temperate except for one day leaving Spearfish, SD 8/18 when it was over 90f (so not unbearable) put the vest on and opened all the vents on the riding suit for airflow and was easily 10f cooler. Lasted at least 4 hours when I rode into a rainstorm and promptly took it off. Dries VERY slowly so might need it in front of fan or something for couple of days before packing it away from storage.

Honest review
I need something to help with outdoor 105-110 dry heat. I didn’t have high expectations but let me tell you it worked! About the sizing, Don’t overthink it, get the size you need. If you’re not sure still order two different sizes and return the smaller. I wear a xl, got a large and it was to small. Got a nXl for perfect form fit that’s comfortable to wear and looks good. The quality is also good despite what other reviewers have said. Follow the directions on the label or online. It’s not get wet and wear. Soak in water for 3-4 minutes, wring the “excess” water out BUT do not over wring it. “Wipe” the water off the vest with your hand. (To prevent dripping) spin/fling the vest around. Wear. As for how long it lasts, I wore it today in dry non humid 105 and it lasted 3+ hours. It keeps your body regulated by keeping your core wet. If there is wind or airflow the vest will feel colder. If you get into air conditioning like in a car or inside infront of a fan, the vest will get cold fast. After walking outside without it, I realized I couldn’t be without it!

Buy with caution
We used three of these vests for 3 weeks motorcycle ride. We probably used them for about 2 weeks daily. The BAD: One of the vests no longer holds water. We followed all procedures about presoak etc, and it the failed one worked about 1 week, but no longer swells to retain the water. The second thing to note is that the vest material attaches to velcro, and getting off velcro repeatedly will end up fraying the material. The GOOD: When working, it worked very well. We rode in several 100+ days for 8 hours on motorcycles. We could not have done these days without the vests. We commented it felt like 20 degrees cooler with the vests, and all said we would never ride in heat again without them. We wore them on top of shirts, but under jackets. One thing to note is to not go overboard on "soaking" them wet. If its dripping or touching pants, then it can cause your pants to get wet, we found wet but not dripping was best way to go, and just re-soaked to this state anytime we stopped.

A/C for your motorcycle ride
I do not know why I never heard of this type of vest for motorcycling. I did hear, researched, purchased, and went on a 1300 mile ride through NM, AZ, CA, UT and CO...in late June. Temps reached 104 degrees. I will not say I was comfortable at 95 and above, but I will say I could feel the cooling effect even at those temps. In the morning in the desert, it can be quite cool. I made the mistake of wearing the vest first thing in the morning, and it was in the high 60s. I had to take the vest off...it was *cold*. This vest, this *idea*, is a life saver.

Neat cooling vest
Excellent product. I have lupus with heat intolerance and this helps me be able to stay outdooes in normally too hot of weather and works great riding on the back of a motorcycle. I wear it while push mowing the yard but mainly got it to help keep my body core temp cooler while riding on the back of my boyfriend's motorcycle. It works by soaing the vest, wring out the excess water a tad and it slowly evaporates while helping to cool. It works best with a slight or big breeze. It does not do well in humidity. If the air is humid, it wont work or barely cool you. I give it a thumbs up. If it evapirates after a bit, you will have to have water to resoak it with.
