Sony Sbh70 Water Resistant Sports Bluetooth Headset with NFC (White)

Pleasantly surprised.This product is apparently not available in the US (in brick-and-mortar stores, of course) because it's made and distributed Sony Mobile, which makes products primarily for the UK/European market.I was in the market for a bluetooth sports earphone / headphones. Sound quality and aesthetics are my top two priorities. With that said, I didn't want to get Beats by Dr. Dre because of the demographic of people who swear by the products. The J-Birds (?) were a little too expensive and most of all, aesthetically displeasing. These two major options were out by default. The only options that were left were cheap-looking earphones from small Asian companies I've never heard of.After a little search, this one showed up on my Amazon. I did additional research on some foreign websites to search for reviews. It seems that the Japanese consumers who imported these from the UK left very positive reviews — I decided to buy a pair. I wasn't disappointed.Pros1) Aesthetically pleasing2) Coated with grippy rubber-like material that doesn't slip off3) Extremely light despite what it looks like on image4) Excellent sound quality5) Instant pairing with iPhone 6 and 6S — no disruption as long as the phone is less than 15ft away6) Haptic and sound feedbackCons1) Loud but doesn't get super loud2) The cables are a little too thin3) Microphone not too clear with skype — never tried with PhoneSummary: This is probably the only pair of bluetooth sports earphones made by a legitimate "audio" company that delivers excellent sound while maintaining great aesthetics

This is a really nice Bluetooth headset. It gets plenty loud, i can have clear conversations with it via phone call. simple to use and great for working out. the base of the headphones grabs your neck well so it doesn't move around. Its Light in weight, have not tested waterproof capability, but I will report when I accidentally put them through the wash. I do wish it went up one or 2 more beeps in volume ( any louder would prbly be bad for hearing but...) besides that awesome head phones!

In my opinion Sony Bluetooth headsets are underrated. I tried so many headsets, including super overrated "beats audio" and "jaybird", and they not even close to Sony's SBH-80 and now SBH-70. I really like SBH-80, but I hate ear plug type headphones and most of wireless headsets on market coming with the same earbuds. I will explains why its not good for me: 1. If I really need noise isolation, I'm using fullsize headphones or headset. 2. I'm using my headset mostly while I running, biking, driving, and having a walk with my baby on the streets of Los Angeles, and it's extremely dangerous not to hear what is going on around you. 3. It's not comfortable when it's hot outside, I'm sweat and something plugged deep in my ear. So, why 5 stars? Great battery life, apple earpods style headphones, superlight, rain-sweat resistant, comfortable controls - android compatible, call vibration, NFC, great sound, fast charging, affordable... Great product!

Great sound! Great connnectability with the Sony Xperia! The earbuds, however, are another story. OUCH!!!! They are hard plastic and don't really fit well. They either fall out or if crammed in far enough, cause pain in short order. :-( I am SO disappointed

Ordered Nov 2019. Worked great until they didn't. Volume during calls is barely audible making headset useless for calls. Very disappointed as headset was sporadically used fur 5 months before inaudible sound/volume issue in March started.

I have been looking for this type of headset for a while. Perfect for an on the go mobile headset. They are comfortable, I cant stand the in ear canal headphones for more than 30 minutes. I can wear these for hours. The sound quality is really good, not amazing but very good.The freedom from being tethered to the iPhone is pure bliss and is definitely worth the price. Sony really got these right so I had to leave 5 stars.

First I want to point out that this headset does not support the aptX codec as mentioned in the specs. The white paper on Sony's developer site does not list any information about supported codecs, and CSR's aptX page listing Sony products does not include the SBH70. Maybe someone mixed up the SBH70 with another similar product, the SBH80 headset which does indeed support aptX but is not waterproof and feature earbuds instead of earpods.Having said that, I already knew this when purchasing it. I purchased this headset after reading good reviews of it, and due to its similarity with Apple's earpod headphones as I wanted headphones I could use while driving that would allow me to hear ambient and traffic sounds, and as such they are excellent. Sound quality is good with sufficient bass for music listening, and I have had no problems with it when paired with either my Huawei Nexus 6P or iPhone SE smartphones (but not at the same time!), both loaded with the latest stock firmware as of this writing, with no jail-breaking or rooting.

Quality product as usual from Sony. Works as advertised. My only complaints would be that the ear buds are rather large, really big and it takes some getting used to. The headphone sound quality is clear and crisp but a tad low unless you really jam them in, which again, due to the size, is quite a task. Overall tho, yes, I would recommend.
