This unit came with halogen H1 (hi) and H7 (lo). The red connector will plug directly in to your parking light bulb socket.

are these compatible with oem wiring?

It is a direct plug in which goes directly in to vehicle original bulb socket.

Do these have the clear plastic lens cover on them?

When installed do the leds stay on all the time or do they require a switch I am unaware of how the parking lights operate in my new vehicle?

LED and halo will be on when your parking light is trigger. It is either by the headlight switch or if your vehicle have automatic headlight function.
