Bought this for 2013 Explorer with the 3.5L engine. Installation was very easy, although I did have to rearrange one if the hose clamps that came with adjusting screw on the bottom.

I went for this to replace the damaged tube on our ‘15 Ford Flex with the naturally aspirated 3.5 V6. The overall pattern is correct and the tube material seems fine - for the savings over OEM it seems silly not to give it a go. That said, I noticed two specific problems that result in my rating:1. The clamps on my part were faulty - the draw bolt on both clamps didn’t catch the splines cut into the band and wouldn’t release them when I had to pull the tube off for other maintenance.2. A portion of the tube itself was molded upside down so that the clamp on the firewall side, which is supposed to index on a narrower and wider tab on the tube, faces the wrong way. This meant that tightening the clamp down for a secure seal required a swivel head ratchet instead of a screwdriver - much more time and awkward effort involved. Does it make it defective? For me - no. It’s annoying.If you may be pulling this on and off as I had I’d check to make sure the clamp orients properly to the tabs on the tube (each end ought to only go one way) before you install.To be fair, when you save this amount of coin over OEM there are going to be trade-offs on quality control. Just know that going in. This part absolutely is doing its job, but I curse at it every time I have to mess with it.

The housing is fine, my problem was with the clamps. The rear clamp is positioned upside down. The original clamp you can easily reach the screw, this one is designed where the butt is facing up.
