Really good product, very close to OEM
These look and function just like the OEM plastic running boards that our Jeep did not come with. Those run like 500ish, so this is a great aftermarket compromise to OEM. They install pretty easily, with only a socket wrench needed. My only installation complain was that in several places, I could not get both the lock washer and the regular washer on the bolts that hold the boards to the brackets and still get the bolts started. Seems the bolts should be just a little bit longer. So I installed with just the regular washers in several places and figured after a month or so of sitting there, I might take them off one at a time and try again to add in the lock washers. I did not remove any paint, but I did test thread the nuts onto the bolts where it says to remove paint. I did not need to do that, and I would suggest you try installation without going through that trouble. I had no issues at all lining up the brackets or the boards when installing. Everything just fell into place and was easy to tighten up and lock down. So this is a 4.5 star review, but I'm rounding up because I believe I will later be able to get those lock washers on there, and my wife really, really likes having these on her Jeep so she can wear skirts again when going to work.

Stylish and functional
Exactly why I was looking for! I wasn’t sure which ones to get but with littles and I didn’t want to have to worry about them slipping or their foot going through the open ones. These steps work perfectly and give just the right step to get in easily.

Easy install! Look great! Highly recommend!
Really happy with these foot rails! Single gal, and installed them by myself in less than an hour. I didn’t have the proper tools on hand, but I made it work. All tools used in photos. The Jeep dealership in Delray Beach, FL quoted me $1100 for parts & labor, so I decided to order these at $167 (they go on sale often) and do it myself! So far, no regrets! My only complaint is that the M8 Philips Drive Hexagon Bolts were too short to stack both the M8 lock washer and M8 flat washer, so I only used the flat washer. I hope they last a while! They look great! Don’t let the reviews about poor instructions scare you; they could be better, but you really don’t need instructions if you just looks at all the parts and have some common sense.

False Info on Amazon Website - Do no fit 2020 Jeep Wrangler
I purchased these running boards for my Grand Daughters 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The webpage of this item clearly states that these running boards fit this 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The package arrived in good condition and my son and I spent approximately 2 1/2 hours assembling the brackets to the running boards to attach them to the Jeep. The bolts need to attach the 6 brackets to the running board were too short to fit, so I was required to go to the hardware store and purchase longer bolts. This cost a little over $18. Once fully assembled, we attempted to attach the board to the Jeep and found the brackets did not align with the holes that are pre-drilled in the frame of the Jeep. I contacted the supplier, only contact is via email and explained the problem and requested that they send the correct brackets. They informed me that there were NO OTHER BRACKETS. The asked what vehicle I was installing the boards on and the VIN. I provided all requested information. They said they could not find the VIN, but offered me $45 to have them installed locally. I called 2 places and was told by each they would charge in excess of $300 to install them. Obviously, the supplier has posted FALSE information on the Amazon Website. It took me over 2 weeks to get the supplier to agree to a refund. I suggest you do not purchase these running board. They are very nice, but probably do not fit you Jeep, and the bolts do not fit, so you will be required to purchase additional bolts to attach the mounting brackets to the boards. If you do purchase from this supplier, I suggest you first place the brackets under the Jeep to see if the line up with the mounting holes before you purchase additional bolts and spend a couple hours assembling them.

Great buy but could be a little better
Super quick install (but had to run to store for two bolts that were obvious mismatched*)! It even came with a small baggie marked “back up” with extra washers, nuts, and bolt! Sturdy for the money. Could use a couple small tweaks. For the price, these running boards are great. We bought a used (50k miles) 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL Unlimited. It did not have running boards and it really was missing them aesthetically. However, they don’t match the flow lines of the fenders. It doesn’t look terrible but with just a tiny little tweak in the molding form, they would match up easily. * As for the bolt mismatch… 7 frame bolts total (1 was in the back up baggie). (4) we’re M8x25 w/13mm hex head which fit the preinstalled Jeep frame nuts perfectly. (2) looked identical (length, stamps, and hex size) threads were clean/clear, but obviously an SAE thread and nut would not accept. (1) was the right thread, but 14mm hex head. Call me OCD but who wants that? Ran off to the hardware store. $1.30. Done. Pretty happy with them otherwise.

Jeep wrangler running boards
I installed the running boards and they look good. The instructions are not that clear. I'll update my review in a few months to let you know how they are holding up.

2024 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4xe...perfect but fyi
Im a single woman who is pretty darn good with power tools and fixing up furniture etc so the diy thing had me confident....the directions are truly terrible...just terrible and you'll get some plus there's a pdf on here that you cash grab (not the same). Here's the thing....if you have a handy person with sockets and a torque wrench and an understanding of lb pressure settings...you're good....but if you cant and don't know anyone then you need to ask yourself "who will I call". Because I called a lot of places and they didn't want to mess with anything from amazon or anything they didn't sell...it was a wall nightmare (and they shorted me an M6 hex bolt). I realized I would have to return for a more expensive but easier to install version (with actual videos) but at the last minute I found a local handyman on the neighborhood app and he did it for $50! I gave him $100 because I was so grateful. That being said....terrible directions, missing bolts, totally lost on what to do and yes it's dark dark gray not black ( but it looks fine...it's a jeep for goodness sake.)....you just can't beat the price and I'm barely 5'2" so I needed these so bad. I love them because they just don't look like the deal they really were. I'll try to attack photos but know all this before going in and you'll be fine.

Good product, laborious install.
Quality parts. The wiring looms and connections are all well done. The instructions do give a bit to be desired. The steps work great once they're installed. My 8-year-old, wife, and my bad knees appreciate the extra step to get into the truck. I really wish these were much easier to install like several other power step brands using just the OBD port. I also really wish that the traction ribbing on the steps was at an angle instead of being perfectly horizontal to the actual step because it causes mud to pack into the grooves, reducing the effectiveness of the traction bars. I put these on a 2024 Ram Power Wagon. The top step wound up just below the door where the lower body begins to roll into the pinch seam. The bottom step when deployed is exactly halfway between that and the ground. The power wagons are a bit taller than the regular 2500 and 3500 Rams so I'm not sure that the bottom step would be quite as useful on non-power wagon models. The bottom step also protrudes a few inches out from the top step similar to a stepladder. Again, this really does make it easier for children, shorter people or people with disabilities to get into high vehicles, whereas I'm not sure the single step power options would have been quite as helpful. I'm 6'1 and 235 lb and I have not noticed any flex at all when I stand on either step so they do seem to be very sturdy. So, the positives are multiple steps in a great configuration that make getting in and out of a taller vehicle much easier. The negatives are again the extensive amount of wiring required that will easily take several hours. The horizontal traction bars which seem to hold dirt. The necessity of poking wires through the bottom of your vehicle which may mean drilling through metal or at a minimum drilling through a plastic drain plug. But that problem can be mitigated by copious amounts of silicone sealant. Overall it's a good product, but if they fixed those issues it would easily be a five-star review.
