If you know what a Coatimundi is, then you know they have razor sharp talons. Even though these are marketed for a cat, I thought I’d give them a try. Perfect! They worked for him just as they would for any cat. It saved me from getting slashed and scratched while I handled and held him. I would definitely recommend these.

I have one cat who scratches the carpet and one of the couches, the other cat was scratching my wooden table and chairs. Nail covers seemed like a simple fix and they have worked well. The initial application of the nail covers was the most difficult for the cats. They didn't like sitting and didn't quite understand what was going on. I recieved some complaints here and there with some wild meows and a few low growls, but they sat all dumpy in my lap and let me put them on! Afterward, I threw the whole treat container on the floor with the flap open and let them wrestle some treats out of it for a little bit to forget their new nails. My big boy has no care that he has beautiful purple tonails, he's had them for weeks (3-4 weeks) now. My tiny female likes to chew and pull on hers. I occasionally find one on the floor after she's pulled it off. She chews the very tips off of them sometimes too. She still cannot scratch with the very tip off, so I continue to leave it until it falls off. As the covers come off, I just take a few seconds to get the pack out and slip another one on. My female currently has 3 different colored nail covers. Some are original and the rest are the next color I chose when I ran out of the last color. It is a good product, but the cat makes the difference.

We’ve had our cat for 12 years. He has cost us replacement carpet fees at our rented houses more than once. The last straw for me was when our townhouse received upgraded, absolutely beautiful, new carpets. Within two weeks my carpet gremlin had clawed through to the carpet pad on one of our stairs. They were so simple to put on (very little glue mess), and didn’t bother my grumpy cat one bit. They have stayed out for 10 days now, and he hasn’t been able to continue his reign of terror.
