I'm almost 5'2", and I bought this cushion hoping to see over the steering wheel of my husband's pick-up. Before this cushion, I would grab the wheel with both hands, perch myself on the edge of the seat, and pull myself forward to peek over the steering wheel - the whole time wondering what would happen if the airbag deployed and combusted explosively into my chest. Well, those days are over. As soon as this cushion arrived, I took it out for a spin to see if it would work, and was amazed at what I could see as I looked out over the steering wheel- not only can I see over the steering wheel and the hood, but my high perch allows me a glorious view of traffic as I hurl his massive truck down the road.It's done wonders for my self-esteem as a driver: no longer a little kid hanging off monkey bars, I am a Queenly Giantess maneuvering her trained mastodon through traffic. When I tipped the guy at the car wash I felt like adding, "thank you, my good man", as I towered over him.Additionally, it is very comfortable- I believe it's actually marketed as a car seat cushion for lower back pain. How perfect is that? No one need ever know I'm short (except my strapping 6'2" husband who teases me about "maybe getting some pedal extensions"). I am very pleased with this purchase. Five stars.

Edit..3-28-17: I purchased a 3rd cushion which arrived a few weeks ago. The first two were as described and worked beautifully. NOT THIS ONE~~~ It is hard as a rock. At first I thought it was because it was cold outside and the box had been sitting in a UPS truck for a long time. After waiting a few days it was still too hard to use on my desk chair or wheelchair. I decided to try to use it as a back support in my recliner. I put it wide side down. It worked better as a back support. JUST DON'T BELIEVE THE PICTURE YOU SEE. You can't do that with your hand on this one. Don't know what they did BUT THIS CUSHION IS HORRIBLE. I should have returned it right away. I'm going to try now but I think it's too late. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS CUSHION.This cushion really works for me. I'm 70 years old with degenerative disc disease and an arthritic spine. I spend a lot of time in a wheel chair although I can and do walk short distances and stand for short periods of time. I suffer from such severe back and neck pain along with pinched nerves sometimes I feel like I just can't stand it. Even my pain medication doesn't give enough relief sometimes. I've had two recliners that were hand me downs but in great condition. Both were given away to another family because I couldn't sit in either one of them for any length of time. I'm just having a very hard time finding chairs I can sit in.Aside from the stupid name, this Tushy Cushy is the answer to my prayers for sitting comfort. It does flatten down when you sit on it but somehow still provides perfect support for my hips without out putting pressure on my tailbone and spine. I can sit on it for hours and the cushion comes right back to full size almost immediately. Looking at it I had some concern about it causing me to slant forward too much but that's not the case at all. I really think this is going to last a long time with proper care. Time will tell but I don't think it's going to flatten out. I just ordered another one for my husband because he has a degenerative spine also. He tried mine and said it felt very comfortable. We'll take relief from pain where we can find it and this really helps relieve pain.I highly recommend giving this cushion a try if you've got back pain.

This ergonomic seat cushion fits perfectly in my car and helps to support my back but also with my seat adjustments, helps to align me from my hips upward, relieving the pressure off my hips and especially my PSOAS and allows me to be seated in a much less detrimental way than before. I also find that if I flip it around, narrowest part going downward, thickest part up against my mid spine that it also helps to provide proper support, comfort, and relief. This is using it in two different positions, not two at once. Not sure if that would provide space while seated in car. Looking forward to using at my desk once I have time to shuffle it around (cannot afford any additional at this time but when I do, this will be the one, as it also doesnt give too much where as others do and I see this lasting much longer than others which tend to break down). This was a good pick, proper design, considerate staff working around a company who cares what its customers think and feel regarding their products/s. Best.

This was a little harder than I wanted and I'm still not exactly sure it is going to be what I need. I have used it for a few weeks now. I got it to help me in my husbands truck with my legs and it isn't real comfortable, but I don't think that has anything to do with the cushion itself, I think it has to do with me. Cushion is well made and great quality.
