Good hydraulic oil pump, also has a list of chemicals it can pump
I used this to put hydraulic oil in my tractor. It worked perfectly. It fit tightly over a 5 gal bucket, the lid turnbuckles kept pump firmly in place.

WOW, This Works Great
WOW, this works great. I get many items from Amazon, but this is one of the first one that really is the answer to my farm needs. I sure wish I had found this before spilling hydraulic oil all over me. My skid steer has an outside hydraulic fill port, but it is hard to get oil into. This pump made a huge difference and it was reasonably priced. The hardest thing about using it was getting the top off the oil pail. I am glad I used a pail that was low on fluid, so I can get the other pail top off quick without making a mess. If you want do you own work on farm or other equipment, this oil pump is an absolute need. The only thing that would be better is a pump with a battery that works on my cordless drills.

Good product
Great pump , for semi truck differential or transmission oil fill up. It’s hard to use funnel when you filling up differential and impossible for transmission, so I bought this pump, it’s perfect fit on 20 gallon bucket and easy job to fill up oil

Works well
There are definitely some pros and cons. It works very well and makes pumping thick gear oil easy. That to me is huge. It's such a pain to get in an awkward space and then try and pump some oil in a gear box with a cheap tool. So on that front it works great. Very smooth lever action and make the job go quickly. But the design could be improved. As others have said, it's hard to figure out if the bucket top should be removed because this clearly doesn't seal. If it were used as a top not only would it not keep oil in if it tipped over, I think it would just fall off. It's not a lid at all. I took a different approach and cut a hole in the lid and dropped this in through that. That's not perfect either but keeps the oil from spilling as it sloshes around as I carry it. But carrying it is really difficult because with this installed, you can't easily use the bucket handle. Bottom line, I recommend it but the design could be improved. A lot.

More Uses Than Advertised - Pumps Solid color water based stain like a champ
Reading the reviews I got the impression that this pump should not be used to transfer stain that I was going to use to stain my fence, all 880 feet of it!!! So I called the company. Told the nice gentleman my challenge of pouring one liter at a time from a very heavy 5 gallon pail of stain. I'd be dead in an hour!! He recommended this pump, although it's clearly intended for oil-based liquids. It worked perfectly. I'm using a quality Behr water-based, solid color stain which is pretty thick. My $70 spray gun comes with a little viscous measuring cup and my stain barely poured through it, which is not good. But I could easily pump the spray gun container quickly and get back to working. My spray gun worked perfectly too. I suggest if you go this route, particularly if it's hot (90F today), that you pause after 3 hours and thoroughly clean everything. Since my stain was water-based I used a high pressure water hose to flush the pump's hose and the pump itself. Then I pumped soapy water through the pump, using a 5 gallon bucket, until the water flowed clear. Took a while! So, this makes fence staining a lot more fun, really. My guess is that water-based latex paint will work on this pump too.

Purchased for a 5 gallon jug of Fluid Film. Worked excellent!
Do you buy the five gallon jugs of Fluid Film? If so, you need this pump. The biggest challenge of Fluid Film in a five gallon bucket is getting it into the common, 1 qt. sized bottles for spray application. It can be a really messy, slow ordeal. I finally invested in a bucket pump. Worth every penny for the frustration saved, ease of product transfer and how quickly the 1qt sized bottles can be filled up. I'll keep the pump on the bucket. After immersion into the bucket of FF, no way this will ever be clean enough or dry enough to store anyplace other than on the bucket itself.

I bought this for a 5 gal. paint pail to make it easier to fill my cut pail and roller tray. It works awesome and was exactly what I was looking for. It is well make of rust proof steel(galvanized) and don't have to worry how long it stays in my paint pail....2 thumbs up for sure. It is made to last for years.

The first one I received had a leak. When pumping, I noticed a leak between the pump head and the pick-up tube. The replacement provided by Amazon worked fine.
