Soul Eater-Complete Series-Premium Edition Review: Bigger and better than I expected! - I bought the Yearbook Edition as a gift for my wife, who fell in love with Soul Eater years ago. This was one of several gifts I gave her for our anniversary, and she probably spent 15 minutes or more looking it over and enjoying the illustrations etc. I was basically expecting a bluray box set with a couple of illustrations plus the sleeve/page style holders in lieu of a hard case, but they took the whole "yearbook" concept seriously when designing this. It's the size of a yearbook in terms of height/width, and contains an impressive number of illustrations that seem to largely be original (or at least from less commonly used sources) and perfectly honor the style of the show itself. I was a little concerned about the use of in-page "sleeves" to hold the discs themselves, but they seem to have done a good job of making sure they're tight enough to be secure without making it too much of a fight to get them out. I'd have never trusted a DVD set to stay in good shape with this setup, but given the protective coating on Blurays I think it'll be just fine and it's perfect for the yearbook concept. There are also several pages devoted to specific characters with cute little blurbs "written and signed by" the characters, which I thought was a nice touch. The print quality is excellent, and the pages are printed on a nice thick glossy paper that's very similar to the paper used in yearbooks, but perhaps a bit more tear resistant. Kudos to Funimation for both the conception and production of this set. Provided your shelving of choice for anime has the height clearance for a yearbook-sized item like this, it will likely be one of the standout pride pieces on it. Review: Worth More Than What You Pay! - Because this is a Christmas present for my son, I haven't had the opportunity to watch the disc's to see if they're on, but they seem to be in order. What i CAN comment on is the entire package, abs BELIEVE ME, it does NOT fail to impress! I thought all I was getting was a DVD set with a little booklet, but what I got was a GREAT BIG coffee table art size hard cover book, filled with MANY COLOR pages describing characters and storyline arcs! I work building $40,000 - $100,000+ Cadillacs & Camaros, and have spent hundreds of hours fixing minute details of the paint jobs, before the cars go to the customers, so I'm someone who TRULY understands not only the value of getting what you pay for, getting something that's surprisingly good quality, but also it's a subconscious thing, but when a company has a beautiful outside package, it shows they value their customers AND their product, and 99% of the time you can be sure the inside's even better than the outside!

Extremely Satisfied Fan.
OMGosh, I loved the series on DVD and wanted to upgrade to a blu-ray copy. I saw this on Amazon and the price was right, so I bought it. I expected the yearbook to be to consist of a couple of video promos pics. that would slip into the video box. No, the yearbook is about the size of an actual high school yearbook, with original artwork and plenty of space to get autographs of the voice actors at future anime conventions. When I went looking for a box for the video discs I thought they were missing but was really surprised and excited to find them in the back cover of the yearbook tucked in nice and neat. I LOVE THIS SET. The only drawback I can see is this set is too large for regular video storage shelves but would look fantastic on top of shelves with bookends. Can't wait to revisit some old friends on all new blu-ray. Highly recommend this version of this title.

Hugely underrated show
As a teenager, this show was way too weird for me. Mainly because of it's strange gags or that I wasn't really interested in anime shows at the time. At some point in my late teen years, I finally appreciated this show as a innovative and artistic masterpiece. While it's true some characters are somewhat typical stereotypes and a bit weak in storytelling, this is greatly ignored by it's well developed halloween themed artstyle with fantastic fight scenes. As for the product, I love the art booklet the discs came in. I can't say very much for it as a dvd case though due to the back sleeve being real difficult to pry discs out of without the risk of scratching them. Other than that, I believe a lot of people will be happy with the quality of this collection and hopefully one day, the show gets a chance to come back in another series.

Great Yearbook
I'll avoid reviewing the anime itself and just review the Year Book edition. It's a real book with pleanty of art from Soul Eater including character profiles for all the main characters Maka, Soul, Black Star,Tsubaki, Death The Kid and so on. It comes with 6 disks included inside the book all are bluray .This is worth the money for anyone who loves this anime.

An Absolute Classic!
I’m a huge Soul Eater fan and, having enjoyed both the manga and the anime, was on the hunt for the complete series for my personal library. This is an amazing deal on the premium edition, that comes chock-full of beautifully illustrated art. The episodes themselves are separated onto 6 blu-ray discs, placed in the back of the yearbook. The package arrived completely sealed and brand new, so if you are a fan of the series or are curious about an old classic, this is definitely the best deal for owning it!

Worth the money, Pumpkin 🎃
The product it’s self is amazing, but it seems rushed. Only the “main characters” get pages. Unfortunately Sid is nowhere to be found within the book and same with majority of the characters. But other than that it came in early and in amazing quality. Soul Eater was the first anime I watched and finished as a kid, so younger me would’ve enjoyed a half-finished product.

Fantastic Buy!
The complete set of a fantastic series, a quality art book, and all at a low price. I think it’s clever they went with a yearbook. Mine came in great condition too. This is one of the best purchases of made!
