Check your pots work w induction
AMAZING works fantastic, takes less then 3 minutes for boiling water at highest setting. Check your pots and pans that they are able to work with induction, I only have 1 pot that does but that's an easy fix. Very sturdy, easy to move, multiple settings and temperatures, child lock mode for safety. It's an excellent buy for the price

what a useful tool
we got this as a trial for full induction cooktop. The electric stovetop we have is the old 70's model spiral unit, and the elements hardly plug in and make connection, its history. So we removed the burners and dials from half the stovetop and set this up next to two other burners. We expect to get a full 4-burner unit within a year. Anyway, this unit works great. Its a little odd getting used to the controls, but perhaps they all work this way. There are two buttons to push to start up, "On" and "Power", and it automatically comes in at level 8. Changing heat levels is done with the + and - keys, very straightforward. The burner accepts up to 12 inch and heats our Eberhard Faber cookware quickly. As the cooktop itself does not heat up, there is no bottom scorching one one can concentrate on cleanup on inside of pan; this differs from conventional electric flat cooktops. All kinds of foods that were an agony on the spiral cooktop come out perfectly on the induction. Temperature change is rapid and easy to control. setting 3-4 are the standard sautee levels and 1 is for warming. 8 is for boiling water or heatup. We have experimented to detting a cooking time after starting and after the time is elapsed the unit turns off. Its great. We are sold on induction. While we will replace this unit with a 4-burner induction cooktop when we replace our counters, this one may be useful in thge travel trailer. They use a lot of juice at full bore (800 watts/burner at 8) but little heat is wasted, it all goes in the pan. Cooktop cleanup is easy and little effort. This unit would be great for a small kitchen, though having a second burner would be nice and probably still go on a 20 amp circuit All our cookware (same brand) worked on the induction except one pot, which apparently has a lot of aluminum in its base. Do not try this on non-flat bottom cookware. If your base is non conductive (like aluminum) the unit makes a strange symbol that means, Nope. Nice job amazon!

lasted less than two months
I've only used it maybe five times at the most. I purchased Nov 18th. Stopped working Jan 10th. Not intuitive to operate. Very loud. Very disappointed

Cheap and Functional
This is a cheap burner and what you get is a very no frills experience. Well, there's one frill. You can switch between displaying one of the 8 temperature settings, or a 'power level' 1-8 that just corresponds to temperature settings. That seems unnecessary to me, but it's nice to have I suppose. The burner heats an area of about 5 inches or so, which makes it better for recipes with their own heat dispersion like soups, and worse for something like frying cutlets, where you would have hot and cool spots on the pan (unless it's quite a small pan, ofc). For such a cheap appliance, it's not a big deal, it does its job. The real reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because there is no way to fine-tune temperature, and also no setting near water's boiling point. The nearest you can set it would be at 200F, or 240F, which means you can leave a pot on a bare simmer, which is nice, or a full-blast roiling boil, which is nice, but nothing in between, which is not so nice. A temperature of 215F or even 220F would have gone a long way to alleviating this issue, but like I said, for the price it isn't a catastrophic problem.

Good heating and easy use.
Far exceeded expectations. Got this for deep frying outside and heats up oil quickly and efficiently. Handles a large pot. Only down side is temps for from 320 to 360 nothing between. A little wonky starting but figured it out pretty quick

Heats up fast
Good product with a reasonable price. It heats up very fast, and the 1800W power is sufficient for most cooking needs

20 degree incremental setting
I just bought this product based on price. It works perfectly, with one minor exception. The temperature controls are set up in increments of 20 degrees. My other portable induction cook top can be adjusted to increments of 5 degrees. I find that 20 degrees is too much of a gap.
