overpriced but it does what is claimed
How much can a bit of foam and velcro cost the makers of this overpriced 'ankle elevator'?This bit of foam and velcro does keep my ulcered ankle off my bed surface, just barely. Just barely is, according to my daily wound treatment person, is enough. So he has urged me to buy the second one, which I'm gonna do.Why am I going to buy a second overpriced bit of foam and velcro? Because my feet run hot and all the boots I have tried to protect my heels now that I am paralyzed flat on my back make my feet way too hot. The boots that run past ankles overheats my legs and whole body.So I am going to shell out about fifty bucks for a bit of foam, some velcro and, oh yes, a bit of fabric to protect my skin from the cheap foam. I know the diff between cheap foam and higher quality foam -- cheap foam does not irritate my skin through layers of fabric. This is cheap foam. My, so far, one foot elevator, only keeps my ulcered ankle less than 2" off my mattress -- that 2" at $25 is ridiculous. But I've fallen for it.

Hard edges = uncomfortable
I needed something that would prevent stress on my foot when I slept on my side, as I am won't to do... I have a memory foam bolster designed for my knee, so it did not lift my foot high enough when placed under my ankle. This did lift my foot high enough but it was such a hard foam and especially around the edges, so it was uncomfortable and prevented me from sleeping with it. The design is otherwise good -- I think it is just the material that is an issue for me.

It worked great. This was purchased to keep a knee elevated after surgery. It does it's job well while keeping you comfortable. Easy to take on and off. Unlike a pillow you don't have to worry about it slipping off.

Did not work for Mom
This was purchased to keep my Mom's ankle elevated to take pressure off a reddened area on her heel. She was not able to keep it in place through the night. I am not sure what the problem was but she is not using it.

Not worth the money
This was very uncomfortable and it hurt my leg. The foam is not soft and is too hard to be comfortable. I don’t recommend it.

So far doing what it is meant for
This is what the doctor told us to get to hold my husband's foot off the bed to help heal a pressure sore. It works but not being used to it he is uncomfortable

Recommend for elevating heel
Works well to elevate and keep my mother's heel from rubbing against the sheets which had previously created a sore.

Elevating foot in cast after reconstructive foot/ankle surgery
I have been using this product every day (all day) for about a month to elevate my foot while in a cast. It helps take the pressure of the heel area. I just recently noticed that since I use it every day one side of the foam is starting to flattening out and lose it’s rigidity. Overall it’s a decent product for how I have been using it.
