Works well, but needed to be sanded and lightly oiled to smooth it out.

This rolling pin is "okay"... it is pretty light weight so I have to put a lot of pressure on it. Wish it was heavier.

Very nice rounded dowel for rolling. The rolling pin is smooth and weighs about 0.8lb (386grams). It feels sturdy and easy to handle. The ends show indentations where the rolling pin was held when machined to shape. The ends are also tapered to make it easy to turn the rolling pin without having to lift it up. I haven't used it very many times and have not had it for too long so first impressions are positive. The negative is that there are similar rolling pins for a little less than the normal price of this one and I can't imagine it would be difficult to mess up this simple tool. The ultimate decision will be based on how long it lasts and if it cracks or molds.I'll update this review once I use it some more to get a full review of it.Disclaimer: I received this item at a discounted rate for an honest and unbiased review.
