Fischer 544546 Duopower Universal Dowels Kit with Screw, ‎Transparent

My problem was that I needed to screw a bunch of stuff into the cement walls of my basement; I had never done that before and had no earthly idea what would work best for this purpose. Reading a discussion thread on another site led me to Fischer anchors, and this set seemed like it could most likely cover what I needed. It did! I wound up using two different sizes from the kit. I had some initial fumbling with figuring out what drill bit would be the best size in the hammer drill (I don't have have metric mortar bits), but everything came out OK in the end. These worked wonderfully, and everything is solidly fastened down. However. I somehow overlooked until I'd ordered them that they ship from England. According to tracking, the supplier got them out fairly quickly, and most of the shipment time was spent sitting in customs. To give an idea of what to expect, I ordered them on the 15th of the month, and they arrived on the 25th. Ten days isn't terrible (it's faster than many Amazon shipments to my location), and they turned out to be absolutely worth it.

I trust in Fischer plugs and their screws and would recommend them. Functional and robust, but at a cost premium. This small set of plugs and screws is perfect for home DIY with most common sizes. Une fois que l'on a gouté à ces chevilles bi-composant, on ne peut plus revenir en arrière ! C'est ce que j'utilise pour la plupart des matériaux (béton, plâtre, même BA13) et rien ne bouge, c'est un bonheur. Je n'achète plus que ça. Gives a good mix of sizes, nice to have the screws come with the kit. Have not tested them yet though.
