One of my hens had a messy bottom and I started puttin this in their feed. It was cleared up in a week.

My chickens are healthier than ever. We had a case of messy chicken vent and after mixing these probiotics in with the chicken food I saw improvement in about a month. Over time the chicken vents cleared and all the girls look great. My chicken lay eggs all year round-even in the North East during winter-and recovery after molting is very rapid. I recommend for chicken health.

We breed and raise giant dewlap toulouse geese and have for several years. Last spring we encountered something new - a dwarf gosling. In the first photo he's the tiny gosling on the right leading the pack of much larger goslings. Those larger goslings were several weeks YOUNGER than the tiny one. He just would never grow. He seemed healthy. He was happy and energetic. But he wouldn't grow. We then read an article by John Metzer (Metzer Farms) about poultry and waterfowl dwarfism and his vet's opinion that it's related to the body not property processing the nutrition in feed. Therefore they don't grow as fast. So we bought this probiotic to add to his feed. Voila! Within two weeks he finally started growing some adult feathers and loosing his gosling fuzz (at 5 months old he still only had gosling fuzz). He started getting a little bigger and catching up a bit. You can see on the second photo, we've been giving him this probiotic supplement for about 3 months and although he's still much smaller that his buddy, he's much closer than he was and actually looks like a goose now. We don't know if he will ever fully catch up in body size, but he's finally taken off on a growth spurt and gotten some adult feathers for winter. You could say that this would have happened eventually, but the timing is very coincidental - he has nothing but gosling fluff for the first 5 months of his life, 4 months after he should have started getting real feathers. We start giving his this probiotic and suddenly he's growing real feathers. I'm sold that it's the probiotic and I'm about as big a skeptic as they come.

My girls are about 9 months old. About 2 months ago I had one that seemed lethargic and when she went to the nest box you could hear her struggling. Living in an area where vets generally treat chickens only in large hen houses and I only have 6 girls, I decided to ask some friends who have a few like me and to research online. One site suggested that my girls might benefit from some probiotics. I continued to research and found Equa Holistics Supplements. I have seen some forums online and they frequently suggested using holistics to treat chickens, I gave it a try. Within a little over a week, she (and the rest of the flock) seemed perkier and weren't struggling nearly as much. Since I added a scoop to the food before it went into the feeder, my whole crowd was getting the probiotics and they all seemed a little livlier not to mention a little more "on key" when they sang the Egg Song!!I love this probiotics and now have it regularly arriving every two months. I won't call it a miracle cure but it really brought some pep to my girls and I love them dearly!! Absolutely worth every penny I spent and I cannot recommend it highly enough!!

Even though it said put in the food. I have put some in the water when I change it. I assume this is just as effective. They seem to like it and seem healthier. It is a good preventative to future problems. Will buy again.

as title says, I give this in the water for my pigeon. shes an indoor pet and has had several bouts of gut bacteria issues since I adopted her from an adoption agency. the probiotics paired with some meditrich [pigeon medicine for salmonella] did the trick. I continue to supplement this because it replaces any bacteria you may kill off when you inoculate or otherwise medicate a bird.

I'm submitting my review for other duck owners out there. I noticed over the past year or so our flock of 9 hens and 2 drakes, a mixed flock of Jumbo Pekins and Golden 300 hybrids, had consistently watery stools - yes ducks naturally have stools with a high water content than chickens, but duck stools should NOT be completely watery on a regular basis - they had duck diarrhea. I didn't feel the quality of their feathers or their eggs was as good as before, either. I referred to one of my duck-rearing books for a solution and saw the author recommended probiotics for ducks. After perusing reviews, I ordered this one, and the results were nearly instantaneous. Within two days of introducing this into their feed (I don't put it in their water) I was surprised to see their droppings had turned into completely normal stool for ducks, clumps instead of water. I don't give it to them every day, I give it to them a few times per week, sometimes skip a few days, but still, my flock has no more duck diarrhea. I will continue to use this product, as it works.

Yeah, it's kind of expensive but I had several girls get sick with what appeared to be gleet (look it up) and researched the importance of keeping a chicken's digestive tract healthy, especially when they're not able to free-range/forage regularly. Since using this product starting several months ago, I've had no more issues with gleet, my girls appear healthier and egg production has increased.
