I was searching for a donut pillow that was larger for my husband after his surgery. I couldn't find any that would work well for him since he is a larger guy. after looking for a while I came across this and it was exactly what we needed. it was a game changer and the fact that it was larger than the average donut size set it apart from all the others that I saw. the outside is lined with a slightly velvet texture which is great for attraction when sitting on it. my husband thanked me so many times for finding this for him. he gave him so much relief.

Bought for elderly person about to have surgery. They could not inflate with pump. I tried and could not either. It's in the garbage can.

Simply put this thing is much better than the standard foam based coccyx pillowsUnfortunately mine was likely defective and does not hold inflation for more than 24 hours at a timeI relayed this to the seller and his response was to send it back to Amazon and wait for an exchange. most times that would be fair, however considering I am dealing with daily tailbone pain I felt this was a little cold.And I wouldn't even care that it becomes deflated every day except for the fact that it is incredibly arduous process to inflate these things by hand. I have a broken left elbow that I'm recovering from and this is not exactly fun4/5 for the pillow itself2/5 for the seller and his quality control

It is looses air overnights, but everything is tight

I've tried several different kinds and when you recline, they put more pressure to the back in a recliner. I think those are meant to sit upright on. I see the science in the donut type now. The air in them displaces to the front when you recline so not so hard where your butt pressure increases in the back. Plus, I think because the air inside moves with body movement, it does not press hard in any one area. I have tailbone pain and the wider the center hole the better and this one is wide. I am not little and like the wide width of the whole ring. On any one small your thighs would feel the edge. I think it feels and is better for circulation with body movement. I've only had it for two days so ask me in the future. It may not last a long time. Who knows?

This is the very sturdy,comfortable donut pillow that surpasses any one I owned. which didn't have a soft protective cover like this one & only lasted a short time....& great .for us who are female & realize this will help you for one reason or the other.....Especially when sitting a little or a lot & if you are overweight. still OK..It sure lasts & hope for a long time....Had it for over a month & still is holding the air without having to add any..Also great for us all... as comes in so many sizes to accomodate.

Comes with a soft gray cloth cover (not-removable). Size is good, very comfortable. Filler nozzle is very small, but the pump fits it just right. Pump is a little on the small size, so it requires maybe 50 pumps to inflate it. Overall, good value and free shipping with Prime.
