This is the tape you need for templates
This tape is simply the best for taping down templates to use with your router. I've used many others that were cheaper from art supply stores etc but they do not compare

Good shop tape
Some research helped identify some of my favorite double stick tape for holding thin or awkward parts down in my mill during machining. This tape has an appreciable thickness (i.e. 0.010-0.015") and is balls sticky on both sides. Peels readily if soaked in alcohol. I recommend.
