So light and comfortable!!
I knew as soon as I put them on and the word WOW slipped out of my mouth that these shoes were going to be GREAT! I don't know what motives are behind all of the negative reviews but don't believe them. I have been wearing these shoes for about two weeks now and I'm loving them. Pros: 1. Fits perfect 2. Feels great, no pressure points, feet not tired at end of day. 3. Budget friendly price for a great shoe. (better than some higher priced shoes) 4. Looks great Cons: 1. I would like to see the shoe laces be a bit larger. BUT this is not a deal breaker. Can get new shoe laces cheap if I ever need them. 2. I had to come up with at least one CON....that's all I can think of. 3. Oh...be careful on wet floors, lol...they are slippery. I wear Sketchers slip resistant for work but these are for home and walking etc. I honestly don't think an individual that wears these for normal activities etc will have a problem with them. In fact, I think you will love how they look and feel.

1000+ Miles & 5 Months Later
I purchased these shoes in late February and started using them in March. I have used them to walk to and from work, while working, which involves a lot of walking and standing, and to go on a couple jogs. In five months time, after logging, roughly 1000+ miles, the treads have worn down, yet the shoes have held firm. I did add some insoles a while back, I just trimmed them to size and put them on top of the factory insoles which are apparently affixed in such a way as to not be removed. At least easily. These shoes have served me very well and have been comfortable. Mostly they have be used on road and sidewalk surfaces and hard cement flooring at work. After 5 months and logging roughly 1000+ miles I have decided to get another pair of aSICS. Only I got a half size bigger. The only real issue I had with the old shoes is some restriction at the top arch of the foot, basically where the shoelace is tied. Yet that may have been on me for getting a size too short. I haven't had blisters or any other issues. In fact, I had a bout of Achilles Tendonitis prior to wearing these shoes. I was wearing boots at the time. Fortunately it passed and have luckily had no more problems with that while wearing these shoes. I like that these shoes are available in wide sizes. Overall these shoes are breathable and and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend for anyone who is on their feet and does a lot of walking. Just make sure you know your true shoe size, and if you're like me, you should be good to go right out of the box.

Great shoe but the wrong color was delivered
So I ordered the black on black, shoe and that's the box I received. Received. However, inside the box I received a black shoe with neon green highlights. I actually cannot find the shoe on the Amazon store I purchased from. Haha. And I decided to just keep them as the neon green is more of a subtle accent then in over-the-top color edition. I've had this type of shoe before and it's very comfortable and does last a good long time. These shoes will last me well over a year of everyday wear before I start having them start to fray or have the padding get completely worn, and I'm a very heavy guy. They fit as expected and have good venting so my feet do not overheat. I use these mostly for day-to-day use, but have definitely used a second pair for working out.

Great gym shoe
I've had these for pver a year and they are barely starting to show wear and tear (Barely, like not even thinking about replacing them yet). Asic's are really comfy shoes that fit my feet perfectly when I'm in the gym, no slipping or shuffling around when I'm on the equipment. I personally recommend these to everyone I know, and to random people asking questions. They also come in a variety of great colors so there's one for everyone.

Great sneakers I highly recomend.
These are the most comfotable and satisfying sneakers I've ever had. I bought a second time and the next year whether it be fathers day, christmas or birthday my kids bought me a pair. They last very long as well. I'm so impressed I really thave told other people. I wouldnt have taken time out of my day to write this but it was worth it.

All in
As a retiree Ive been through all the changes in "sneakers" over the years. Ive gone from wearing what was given to me to being able to wear whatever I wanted. What we wear today in casual and athletic shoes is pretty much rocket science compared to what we wore a few decades ago. I discovered ASICS quite by accident, I was committed to the other major brands (without mentioning names) and only looked at specific brands when shopping. I came across a pair of used ASICS in a thrift store. Who buys shoes in a thrift store? I have to admit in this case, I did I certainly wasnt looking for shoes at a thrift store Yet these ASICS looked to be in great shape! Clean and not much wear. I could always use a pair of "yard shoes" where it wouldnt matter what you did to them or what you stepped in, they would never make it into the house in any situation. They werent so much clothes as they were tools. They had a specific use and were always one step away from the garbage can. But something totally unexpected happened They fit my feet perfectly and were very comfortable. And they were tough. Before too long they worked their way into the house and I started taking them on walks They were the most comfortable shoes I owned, these second hand throwaways. I wore them out. It took another two years to finally realize they were done. I have been bying ASICS ever since So its come full circle. I am brand loyal at my old age You can find a lot of choices in athletic shoes But for me, there are none better.

Yes -- The Shoe Does Run True-To-Size
My shoe size is 10.5 US. However, as my foot is extra-wide, I've been wearing size 11-11.5 for years just to get a bit more room in the toe box. So, I ordered a size 11 in Gel-Venture 7 Running Shoes. It was a mistake -- I should have gone with the 10.5 -- my true shoe size. The shoes are about a half a size to a full size larger than the 10.5 true size -- they appear to be true size 11s. The width of my thumb plus separates my big toe from the end of the toe box. I've been wearing thicker socks to make up for the size difference. Yes -- the shoe does run 'true-to-size" In use, the shoe is stable with no motion control issues. Cushion is good on hard surface and gravel roads and good traction on trails. There is no extra protection around the toe cap so protection is lacking for adventure type running. The shoe is well-made and at the price, a good value. I think well enough of this shoe that I just ordered a second pair in my 'true' shoe size.

I would not buy this particular one because it is coming apart.
The toe is starting to separate from the bottom sole. The shoe is good except for that problem. I have 5 tennis shoes and rotate them constantly but this one is coming apart.
