Does not work
There are several add-on car CD players, but they only hold one disc, which forces you to stop the car to change discs. There are home CD changers, but they do not work in cars. This one copies 12 discs onto a flash drive and plays them from the drive. My guess is that it was factory equipment on some Chinese or Japanese car, and they did a quick mod to sell it on the US market. It does not work. You can power it by attaching a cigarette lighter plug to the 12-volt wires, but the car does not recognize the USB output. An RCA to Bluetooth broadcaster also does not work. At home you can play it by adding an AC to cigarette lighter plug and connecting the RCA plugs to a speaker, but this does not help much. I think that there would be a good market for these if the manufacturer would do a proper modification. If someone else has better information, please leave another review.

Excellent Idea hurt by poor design
In Sept 2022, this had multiple price drops from $299 to $130. This is a great price point. A decent installation in a 2021 Rav4 requires Amazon items: 1. FouceClaus 12V Portable DVD Player Car Charger ($9.98 or Tegg 5pcs DC-099A DC Female Panel Mount Charging Wire ($10), 2. RIOUSV Bluetooth Transmitter Receiver ($20), 3. 10 Pairs DC Power Pigtail Cable 12V ($11.30)This was bought primarily to record audio books for road trips and play CD's. Much of the information posted was incorrect. First, this model requires 12 volt power. Post saying this can be powered by USB could be referring to the model without the recording capability. As an engineer, I wanted this to work and spent too much time trying to work out their poor design decisions in part due the excellent sound quality. For some reason, the unit uses two audio paths for the real time and recorded functions. Real time play is ONLY outputted to the 1/8" audio jack - no longer provided on most cars. Music recorded to the USB can be outputted to the USB, but will only be outputted to the 1/8" audio jack if it is connected. The cars audio controls were supported when audio was outputted to the USB. These controls are cannot be used when audio is outputted to the audio jack requires. This means you need to use the remote control to change tracks, etc.Nice design, but it was ultimately returned since the 1/8" audio to Bluetooth transmitter had difficulty sync'ing with my 2021 Rav4 Prime. I'd be tempted to keep this for recorded play if it was $100 less, but it is certainly not worth the price.

Junk
This thing doesn’t work. The box was already open and there were scratch’s on it. The instructions seem to be missing. DO NOT WASTE THE MONEY ON THIS.
