Laura's Evolution Kindle Edition

Laura and Bernard have the strangest relationship I have ever read about. Let me back up a minute here and let you know that this book was recommended to me in a book challenge this month my first impression was that the book synopsis sounded appealing so I was looking to reading it but I thought the book cover looked a bit scary, and believe me when I tell you that this cover doesn't even show a fraction of the modifications that were done to Laura.J. G. Leathers is a new to me author so I am not sure if this is a typical book of his but WOW it was so out there, at times I felt it belonged under science fiction and not BDSM. This was bondage to the extreme like I have never seen it before. I read some dark and hardcore BDSM books but never with the Bondage to the level that this was taken to throughout the book.I had a really hard time with this book its only 151 pages and it took me 9 days to finish it. 9 DAYS!!! I was constantly putting it down, I even picked up books longer than this and finished them in two days while still trying to complete this one. Needless to say I didn't find it enjoyable but that doesn't mean it wasn't well written because it was, it was just that I couldn't wrap my head around the stuff being done. YES I know this is fiction and whatnot but still. While I personally wouldn't recommend this to most people I know there are a few people I think may enjoy this type of beyond hardcore BDSM read. It's up to you to decide if its a book you think you would enjoy.Happy Reading!!!

This story is frightening to the extreme.i was morbidly curious when I decided to buy this book. The story is a little repetitive in the middle but somehow I was never ever to put it down for long. I hope that this story is entirely a work of fiction because the thought that anybody where being tortured like this, is extremely disturbing to me. Anyhow, the finale is quite disturbing. Anyhow, I am glad I read the book. I gives me a new appreciation for life and the average freedoms we all take for granted in our average lives.

Just wow. The author goes into incredible details that is above and beyond what you might expect. As a work of fiction, it's unimaginable. I just pray that there are truly no one confined like this.

Keep in mind, you have to have a more devious side to fully enjoy these books. The descriptive writing is very detailed and in depth which requires patience when reading. However, the results are vivid pictures in your mind when you are done. As the book progresses, you fully understand and experience her increasing misery, remorse, helplessness and despair. And yet, with her first person aspect you get the feeling this is so much more intense than what she had imagined it to be, which is actually a good thing for her and the pleasure she had hoped to derive from her experience.

Im always open to new reading and love a good BDSM book but this.... The characters are contrived. It just seems to me the author spent every minute of the book trying to figure out what sadistic thing his male lead could pull off next just so he could do it not if he should. This whole story to me is more of lets figure out what more we can do to cause Laura more pain and degradation and not about about the life style or love. I wont be buying any more from this author.

Forced myself to finish it again. Too unreal...... I try to give it a chance but............

Beware what one's wish for is true.The story of Laura's Evolution is interesting.I'm sure that she wishes to take back her desire for total control.

Very imaginative story with some great fantasy ideas.

This was the first book I had read by this author. It is going to be the last. Really disliked the content and story line. If you like the author then this review will not put you off but the story line itself was upsetting. I only continued to read it so see how the "first person account" was going to be rescued only to discover at the end that the story was very sadistic in nature.

A real hardcore bdsm fantasy; for me it was interesting to get a glimpse into such an extreme frame of mind, but to far gone to relate to.

Extreme slavery, interesting read but not really my thing.

a different kind of book, i can't imagine sombody who has their only desire is to be locked up.i hope that this book is fiction and not real
