The Truth About Stacey: A Graphic Novel (The Baby-Sitters Club #2) (The Baby-Sitters Club Graphix) Review: Our seven year old and nine year old really love these - I read all the Baby-sitter's clubs when I was a little girl and loved them. Strong young women, age-appropriate challenges. Overall super. We now have all the graphic novel versions for our kids, including our nine year old boy who likes them and our seven year old girl. I don't suggest getting only graphic novels for kids - I think there is something to reading a book with sentences arranged in a traditional way - but nonetheless the Baby-Sitters Club graphic novels are well done and have helped to foster a love of reading and books in our home. It has actually resulted in the kids reading the older versions that I have from when I was little. The kid's liked getting to know about Stacey, that she was from New York (where they have visited), and I thought it was good for them to learn about Stacey's health problems to help them understand that people are different. They were able to relate it to some kids in their school who have health challenges. This one was illustrated by Raina Telgemeier and the kids like her a lot and have some of her other books. Some of the later BSC books are not illustrated by her and kids preferred her style, but like them all really. Review: Mi hija quedo feliz con su regalo de 9 años. Se lo leyo en un día.

Fun and Cute
I bought this for my neice she has expressed her dislike for reading, shes is 8 1/2. I thought If I got her interested in graphic novels she would start to like reading a little more as its only half reading and half just looking at the picture these books can be finished in about an half hour. I remebering reading the Baby Sitters Club when I was around her age so when I saw they had turned them into graphic novels I purchased them for her. She loves them and I have to admit so do I. They are illustrated very well and the original story is still there whats good also is that she is now interested in reading the rest of the actual book series. This one was our favorites as it had to do with Stacey and her battle with diabetes. It also deals with being responsible and being able to stand up for yourself, which I thought were good messages. I also liked that it updated the series I think the first baby-sitters club came out sometime in the early nintes so this brings it into modern times. the only thing I was suprised about however was the size of this book its roughly 1/3 the size of the other books in this graphic novel series so its a very short read. Good story good drawings and appropriate for younger girls.

Great Read
Hey guys it's Mintstar from Weatherclan! Here is my review: Okay to be a hundred precent honest with you, Stacey is one of my least favorite characters in the series but, she does show a lot personality in this book. She stands up for herself and she tells her parents her feelings on certain doctors she goes to. She also talks to Ms.Johannessen about how she feels. When they put the "The Babysitters Agency" in to it thats where i started to cringe a little bit. Overall this was a pretty good read! I have to go and apprentice Cedarkit,Riverkit, and Brindlekit! May starclan be with you always! Mintstar

Really good
This book is one of my favorite books in the series and I like every thing about it the only thing I would change is the cover I don't understand why Stacy is in the corner and all the other club members are together because the only fight that happened was laine and Stacy so why is she all the way back there?? Also Smoking really this (book because of that) is for kids/tween/teens 10 and up. Other than that I really loved this book and I would definitely read it again.

My 8 year old loves the Baby Sitters Club Series. I wanted her to get into reading so I was looking for graphic novels to get her interested and encourage her into more reading.
