I was really pleased when I got this working!I originally bought the set of Mercury sockets, that are identical to these, apart from the name on the front. Mercury didn't offer a single switch like this, but it was a gamble that they would be compatible. Luckily they are!I had a set of five switches and wanted a sixth. Alas, the remote only has five buttons so I couldn't add it to be controlled separately. I decided it would be fine, though, if I could add it to switch number four on my remote. That meant that one button would affect TWO sockets!! Neat!The socket arrives with no instructions, but it wasn't too hard to work out what to do. Plug the socket in and press and hold the switch on the side for a few seconds until the LED starts to flash. Then press the button on the remote you want the socket controlled by. YAY! It works!!Highly recommended.

I light my living room with an assortment of occasional lamps around the room. A hand help remote device makes switching on and off so convenient. Highly recommended.

This is the third I have and I configured it to work with a remote I already had for a multi-pack I bought. Slightly addicted to them! I go round the house thinking wherw else I could use one, so I can buy more!! So simply to use and set up. Would recommend!

Item works well and very useful.

They've apparently changed the design at some point in the last 12 months without communicating this "due to interferance". It was therefore not compatible with my existing identical sockets and remote with identical part numbers so I've returned it for a refund and will have to purchase the whole set again. Poor behaviour from a manufacturer.
