This rain guage is easy to read and is made of a heavy plastic. We have had numerous rain guages over the years. They have been glass and thinner plastics and do not fare well in Oklahoma weather. They usually break of crack so they no longer hold water. This one looks like a really good product. I am keeping the address so I can reorder if anything happens.

This so much better than our old "test tube" type gauge that lost its gauge markings to the sun and rain. I don't know how the plastic will hold up to our Tucson sunshine, but I do know that I will be able to read the levels no mater what. It seems very thick, so I don't see it cracking any time soon. I will also assume that the Australians know something about the sun. I have already had the pleasure of reading this gauge after rainfall twice, and it was so easy to see the measurements. The mount that it comes with works great and keeps the gauge very secure. All rain gauges should have raised markings like this one does.

Good quailty, easy to install, accurate measurement. The gauge is difficult to read from a distance as the increments are also made of clear plastic. This can be compensated for by using a tool to scratch / etch the outside surface of the gauge and then using a permanent marker to highlight the inch markings. The major readings then stand out nicely.

This gauge is a little bit bigger than I expected but I ended up keeping it and am really happy with it. It's sturdy and seems strong. I compared it to other, more expensive "professional" rain gauges that I have and it's very accurate. Easy to install too.

Top-notch rain gauge, extremely accurate and long lasting. I purchased my first Outdoor Home Dual Scale Rain Gauge in 2018. The original gauge lasted for 6+ years until the mounting plate finally gave way to the outdoor extremes and fell apart. I am preparing to buy my 2nd Outdoor Home Dual Scale Rain Gauge. It's more expensive now, but certainly worth the additional money to get an accurate rain gauge.

Replacement for similar item. Easy to mount. Comprehensive instructions on the box. Only recommendation - color the "scale" (recommend black) to make it easier to read (especially if you are still in the house). Out of the box it is almost impossible to read at distances exceeding five feet (1.5 M, if metric).

AWESOME RAIN GAUGE! I installed the rain gauge today before the first rains hit. It was very easy to install (required a phillips screw driver to screw in the two screws that came with the rain gauge. I drilled the two holes in my post so it would be easy to screw the black plastic plate solid to my post. It is raining and I just saw that I have 3/4 inch of rain. Inches are on the left and Metric measurement on the right. Awesome. In the summer (no rain here) I will just slide the rain gauge up and put it away because we have no rain in the summer. The black plate remains on my fence (unless I wish to change the gauge to another location). Awesome product!!!

Once installed with the fixing screws supplied, it works well. The scale is easy to read and the bracket allows for easy removal for emptying. Well made and robust.

Der Regenmesser wurde schnell und sehr gut verpackt geliefert. Er fühlt sich wertig an, hat auch ein größeres Volumen wie die einfachen Regenmesser. Wir haben ihn noch nicht angebracht, aber die mitgelieferten Schrauben werden bestimmt passen. Das wichtigste was noch zu erwähnen wäre ist, dass die Reinigungsbürste gleich mitgeliefert wurde. Das ist ein Pluspunkt mehr, wenn ich könnte würde ich sogar 6 Sterne vergeben!!!
