I wanted to post an initial review in case anyone like me has events this weekend and is considering buying this.TL; Dr: these shaper shorts are great if you're looking for light compression/support and some smoothing.As a tall plus size woman (5'11", 310lbs, 50-46-56, usually wear a 3x/4x), this item suits my needs to look a bit smoother under clingy dresses, prevent thigh chafing, and provide some abdominal compression for POTS symptoms relief. I have my highschool reunion this weekend and will be wearing a bodycon dress, so I wanted some shaper shorts that would smooth me out a bit without being uncomfortable. The mixed reviews on this item scared me a bit, but so far I'm glad I took a chance. I've been wearing them to work the past couple of days to test them out in case I needed to switch sizes or to another brand.These shaper shorts are surprisingly comfortable for having a decent amount of light-modedate compression. While I'm tall, I'm also quite short-waisted with a long hip/pelvis, and carry most of my weight in my stomach, butt, and upper thighs. The waistband comes all the way up to my bra line, but so far has not rolled down thanks to the fabric quality and small stays strategically placed. The legs are also a great length to not roll on my thick thighs - I'm easily able to adjust them higher or lower depending on the length of my skirt. The fabric is fairly breathable and soft, doesn't irritate my sensitive skin. Other than the very top of the waistband, I can't feel them on after a bit.I'm glad I went with the 4x instead of the 3x. My measurements were on the low end of the 4x, and I decided to opt for comfort over stronger compression. The shorts are quite stretchy, and I imagine someone several inches bigger than me could comfortably wear them. The shorts washed fine in a laundry bag on delicate cycle and didn't shrink too much. I can't speak to their long-term durability and performance, but I will update this review after my events with pictures and final thoughts.Overall, I definitely can recommend these to others looking for similar qualities in shaper shorts. I hope this review helps other tall plus size women as I know how hard it is to find comfortable, flattering clothing for us.

I love these shapers... they are just a light shaper, so super comfy. They are long so you can pull them all the way up without struggling to get them to a good point that will stay (and they stay and do not roll). I don't usually get the "shorts style" but I find that I really like how they feel (and they also stay in place). Gives me a more polished look, they do not make me hot during this extreme weather, and I don't even think about them like I do other products that have me fussing with them all day. A+

I have tried every girdle and spank ever made, and this one is the most comfortable by far. It is the only one that stays up and does not roll down when I sit. It’s breathable and not constricting. It doesn’t squeeze your legs too tight either. My only complaint is that I wish it was more snug around the lower belly. That area is not being held in by these undergarments. It sucks in your top, but not enough around the lower belly. I still recommend these as the best I’ve ever tried.I would still buy these again because they are really good quality and very comfortable. They arrived very early and I got them for a really good sale price.

This is based on only trying them on, not wearing them for any length of time. These are thin and comfortable but no do not provide support. Be careful when pulling them on due to the thin material. I returned these and am still waiting for my credit back. For some reason the credit is being delayed even though no tags were removed and they were returned in the exact same packaging they were sent in. So if you are just trying them out, be aware that the return credit will take more time than it should!

It looks very small when I took it out of the package but fit well and is very comfortable.

I weigh 260 lbs and ordered a 4x, which was the same size I ordered when I weighed 280 lbs. When I order again I will go down to a 3x. The shaper fits very well. High waist stays in place as well as the thighs. Very comfortable and makes my clothes lay neatly. Washes well and holds it's shape ( hand wash no dryer).

This garment is lightweight and super comfortable holds without taking your breath, Doesn't roll on your thighs or waist. Stays in place. No pinching. Perfect fit, easy to put on. The band is seamless you can't tell you're wearing shape ware. I've never been satisfied with shape ware because of comfort. This is my second purchase. Shapermint listen and got it right.

This garment is very comfortable, the most comfortable tummy controller I've worn. I wore it for 8hrs to an event and as light and comfortable as it is, I was surprised by how well it controls the tummy, hips area. It's high waisted and DID NOT fold down, but stayed in place, above the midriff. I simply have it a 4-star rating bc it kept riding up on the thighs. It wasn't a problem with the thighs riding up, as I was wearing a skirt (with a form fitting dress/skirt, it may be an issue), it also wasn't uncomfortable, just a bit annoying. I really do like this garment for control, comfort, and it felt very light/breathable even in the heat of summer. It fits true to size, I ordered XL, the same size as my leggings.
