Great Pouch!
It fits the Motorola APX 8000. Iβll test it out on patrol and will come back to update the review, so far is an amazing pouch.

Fits the radio great, well made and solid
Simple design and fits my radio great. I have it mounted on my LBV and about the only complaint I have is that the corners of the velcro area are kind of sharp and scratch the underside of my arm occasionally. Not a big deal, but sometimes can be an annoyance. Would not stop me from buying again.

It Serves it's purpose
The price on this radio holder is reasonable, especially for the sturdy material and quality of the product itself. I have no complaints with the exception of the comfort; even when I do not have my radio in the holder, the rigidity of the straps, which I assume will wear down with use, kept poking my sides a bit but I can only say it was slightly annoying.Other than that, this holder is reliable and is used for what I need it for... to hold my radio! I would not expect less from 5.11 and that's one of the reasons why I steered towards buying a holder from them. You buy cheap, you'll see the results, unless you take care of your things. This is not cheap but it's definitely worth the price.

Simple and Very Effective
It's 5.11, so you know the quality is going to be top notch (unlike some odd ball manufacturers/sellers on Amazon eBay). As with all or most of the 5.11 pouches, the molle straps are built it so there's no added expense of getting malice clips (TERRIBLE) or Blackhawk Speed Clips (good) and worrying about getting the correct length etc. The Slipstick system is easy to use and thread through the molle. I've noticed 5.11 has went to a new snap at the bottom of the strap: the female side of the snap is open on both sides, means sand, dirt, water won't get trapped in the "hole" and prevent the male end from pushing in (giggity). The snaps hold well too...good improvement. The pouch itself is simple and accommodating to any a range of radio sizes. I had another pouch that was super tight and required two hands to get my radio into it. I wear this on a molle equipped duty belt (Volund Gearworks), so I can't really get two hands to the pouch with the belt on. I'm running a Motorola XTS5000 radio with a Freelinc wireless adapter attached to it. The Freelinc adapter is a little bigger that a standard mic connector so that what I was really worried about. There's enough give in the fabric to allow the connector to push it down a little, so the radio doesn't get hung up and sit too high....it doesn't however, just slide all the way in when that connector is on. Once I cinch down the bungee over the top it's good to go and a non-issue. The fact that the entire outside of the pouch is loop velcro is perfect for quickly pulling down the bungee or securing it, without having to hit a specific spot. Also plenty of room for patches.Unless you're running an oversized or odd radio and need something specific, this is your best bet.

An outstanding Radio Holster
I own two of these, and i love them. I have two other radio holsters, Maxpedition, an off brand look a like to this 5.1 and the condor ( which is only works for small family radios. What i love about the 5.11 holder is that it's easy to get the radio in and out of the holster ( if you have the straps loose). The other radios the strap comes over the top of the radio and ALWAYS gets hookup on the control knobs. Also, unless you have a large radio; my Kenwood TH-d72 and 22at, Yaesu's vx-7 and vx-8, don't rub in the inside of the holster hard -- which doesn't wear out the rubber key pad on the front of the radios. The 5.11 holster also double has "other" use, when it doesn't have a radio in it. the pockets are deep enough ( and there are not large openings for things to fall out) . A water bottle will fit no problem. Keys, wallet, etc, no problem.Lastily, the tie tacs used for a molle are genius. they are fabric and will bend. And, they are stiff enough to be sturdy. And, unless you see them in action; my words don't do them justice; but, they slide up and down from the top of the holster .. making putting the holster on a molle system super easy. And, they are well made. If you beat the tar out of them, I think they'll laugh at you.Maxpedition Falcon ii; Yaesu Vx-8DR in the pictures.

Oops
Sometimes you do the research and put in the time to get what you need. This thing is awful and radio falls out all the time. LOL

Bigger than I thought
The molle straps on this are sturdy and it attaches very securely to my 5.11 plate carrier. It's quite a bit deeper than I anticipated and my Yaesu FT-70D gets lost in it, so I cut a piece of closed cell foam to take up the extra room and position the radio with the knobs flush with the top. It should fit a Baofeng with an extended battery just fine. There is plenty of room on the side for a 90Β° speaker/mic plug, and the fabric on the sides is pliable enough to work the power and volume buttons on the Yaesu.I removed one star for the cord lock system, however there are some loops to change it so that may help.

Works great!
So far so good. I have had this for about a month so far. I needed this to stop the dreaded belt clip failure. I use it for both a Kenwood HT and older Motorola HT. Just make sure you have your radio on the group of channels you want, because itβs sometimes a pain to pull the radio out. Which is a good thing donβt get me wrong, it likes to hold on to whatever you stick inside.

Worth every penny.
While I haven't used it as I bought a radio belt clip as well, I know from previous purchases that this works. The belt buttons are tough and have a very strong click to them. They're quite hard to remove too, so it won't just open up and drop your radio.

Does what it is supposed to but in reality I find it a bit of a faff so just put the radio in my top pocket instead.

Not the best holder.
I'm not too happy with this radio pouch since it doesn't have an easily accessible pouch. By that I mean, the paracord or cordage is in the way of putting the radio in and you have to kind of move the cordage around to stuff the radio in, then put it above the radio to secure it. It's definitely not optimal for my use as a paramedic. I'll probably be looking for a different holder with a snap buckle of sorts.
