I just want to say I'm not sure if it's something I did or if it was just cleaning solution but I was very careful while I used the solution. Okay so my printer was 8 years old. I was using some non HP ink never had any problems with non HP ink but at least once a month I'd have to clean the printhead by using the feature that's built into the printer. The one thing I did and you shouldn't do is to totally let the cartridges run out of ink, come to find out you're not supposed to do that, the reason being is the ink dries up and gets stuck at the exit port in the printhead. That is probably why I had print issue problems over the past 4 years. I would run the printer in it's clean printhead mode and that would fix it for a while. Just so you know it was working perfect prior to this cleaning. after I was done I reinstall the printhead and the cartridges and it wouldn't work kept saying printhead error or print cartridge error. I tried everything to fix the problem I couldn't do it. I was very gentle using the cleaning solution so I'm not sure what happened. It's all good though my printer was 8 years old I paid $200 and printed over 20,000 pieces of paper were printed so I definitely got my money's worth. Only use this if you have no other choice before buying a new printer. Don't use it just because you wanted. If I didn't I'd still have my printer right now. But you don't have a new HPe printer so I'm sure it's about time to replace it.

It doesn’t work to clean the printer head. I followed directions, but after cleaning the printer head it didn’t print, even with new ink installed. I returned the kit and purchased a new printer head. Works fine now.

Hated it! The instructions in box were vague. Very messy. Gloves are a joke. After cleaning my printer said I had cartridge issues. Won’t recognize me cyan cartridge. Loaded 2 new ones and still doesn’t recognize the it. Can’t do anything, won’t clean or align printhead. Printer is now totally defunct. Spend the extra money and get a better product. I wasted 2 hours.

Followed the steps. In the end the black ink-head was still clogged and then after the drops the yellow ink head became clogged too. Prior to the drops the black was the only one clogged but not the colors. Disaster. Waste of money. And it can’t be returned.

What everyone needs to know about using the style of product, is that there’s a high probability you will ruin the print head. There’s a small bladder inside the printhead that when you flush the fluid through it may burst. If the bladder inside each individual print head bursts, your printer head is ruined. This is what I did. I found out what happened after I YouTube several videos on people doing this and finally one person said you can ruin the printhead by exploding the bladders

I used this following all instructions carefully. It ruined my print head mechanism and therefore my printer. Very unsatisfied - I really didn’t want to have to buy a new printer.

THE RUBBER TIP DOES NOT CONNECT TO THE PRINTER. IT JUST BUCKLES WHEN I PRESS IT TO THE INK SUPPLY. THE PROMOTION TEXT INCLUDED BROTHER PRINTERS BUT THERE IS NO MENTION OF BROTHER PRINTERS IN THE LIST OF PRINTERS ON THE INSTRUCTION SHEET THAT CAME WITH THE SYSTEM. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED AND UNHAPPY WITH THE PURCHASE. CAN I GET A REFUND?

After cleaning print head, it printed a page that was just ok. I went to do another print head cleaning & got the message "there is a problem with the printer or ink system.." Now I can't do anything. I went through HP's troubleshooting & nothing helped.
