Great little radio and Bluetooth speaker
Love this little radio Bluetooth speaker. Retro looking.Bought as present for my mum who struggles to hear when listening to podcasts on her phone. She loves it and its simplicity. This amplifies so she can hear. Easy to recharge and no batteries!!I have one too and keep by the shower so can listen to radio or connect to phone to listen to radio or podcasts. If you are looking for a beat box with blasting sound this is not it. But as a portable radio and speaker - great. It is smaller than it looks in pictures - so check dimensions.

Really impressive!
It's not very often I feel compelled to write a review for something, but this little radio has really impressed me. Now bear in mind that it is much smaller than it looks in the photographs (it is shorter even than a can of coke), nevertheless it has rich and deep sounding audio with a satisfying amount of bass, although not too much. It feels weighty and really quite high-quality. The tuning dial is a pleasure to use, it has a nice amount of resistance and can be tuned delicately and precisely with a good degree of accuracy. The illumination on the tuning dial is really quite special, it is a warm golden colour and really evokes the feel of a tungsten lamp inside an old radio and elevates the aesthetic a lot. Not only does it look fantastic, it also makes for an easier time tuning into the radio station you want in poor light! FM, AM and SW stations all come in very clear, of course with FM being the highest quality by far, and given the small antenna size, the reception is excellent. Better even than some other, much more expensive radios I have with much larger antennas! Unfortunately I haven't yet had time to test the bluetooth and USB/TF card features. There are a few negatives I ought to mention. The radio charges via mini-USB which at this point feels quite dated, I don't really own any mini-USB cables anymore, but luckily one is included with the radio so you are good to go! Not a major issue, but I would have liked to have seen micro-USB or preferably USB-C. Secondly, the volume dial is both quite stiff and also far too sensitive. It's a fraction of a millimeter between inaudible and far too loud for my tastes, it's a little tricky to find a sweet spot, especially with the dial being so stiff. Lastly the mode switch is also quite stiff, and is fairly ambiguous to which mode you're in, the little notch doesn't point exactly to the modes as displayed on the radio, but it's not difficult to easily find out so this isn't a big problem.Overall I am much more impressed with this radio than I ever expected to be, it's a complete joy to use and listen to, and much more than a novelty! I haven't yet drained the battery after fully charging it so I can't comment on the battery life!

Best radio I've ever had!
Fabulous small, pretty radio, only about 6 inches long, sits on the back of my bathroom loo and doesn't slide off due to its rubber feet, perfect for every time I'm taking a shower! Just like an old-fashioned radio: you turn the small knob to turn it on/off and adjust the volume, all in one, so it's much easier to use than most modern radios. It comes on straight away, unlike DAB radios which can take several seconds. You can turn the big dial to easily find different stations. There's an antenna you can pull out, but you don't usually need it. I listen to Radio 4 (mostly talk) and Radio 3 (music), and the sound quality of each is amazing! It's plenty loud enough for the kitchen, living room or wherever you want to put it. The on/volume knob is slightly sensitive if you have clumsy fingers, but you only need to take a little care to adjust it to the right volume. You need to charge the radio with a normal phone charger before first using - you don't need any batteries or wall plug. I've been listening to my radio for over a month now, and haven't needed to recharge it yet. It's way above any other radio I've ever owned, both in sound quality and ease of use, and I'd definitely recommend it!

Looks great!
Why did you choose this product over others?:I love the look of this radio, with its rich colour and solid build. The sound is excellent, and is perfect for when I'm working in the garden or the shed.

Great little radio!
This is my 2nd Prunus portable radio, it has very good sound for a small radio and 'sensible' actual knobs for the on/off + volume, rather than a wheel on the side (which always break and make radios useless). It looks very cute too and a nice colour red. The rechargeable battery system means no plugs or cables to clutter up worktops and you can also plug in music MP3 /AUX jacks etc. Like the last one I bought over year ago (which is still working perfectly), I'd highly recommend this one too.

I love my little radio
I’ve had this radio only a short time but am really impressed by its quality , both in looks & sounds . Once powered up the knobs are easily adjustable & it’s small & very portable. No plugging into the mains for this one apart from a boost when battery running low. I have had it only a short time but it’s perfect for my summerhouse . The reception is good & the sound clear. The price was very favourable too.

Work radio
I use this as a local painter and decorator, it is absolutely perfect as I only have a little van, it’s so small but packs so much power in volume I absolutely love it, the sound is fantastic and bbc radio 2 picks up brilliantly, this is the third one I’ve got, the last one I ran over in my van after leaving it on my bonnet… it slid off and I ran it over 😭 and the first one actually got stolen from a site I was on so it’s abviously not just painters that love them. Fully charged if I start at 8.30am it lasts until 2.30, I usually put it on charge when I have my dinner so it lasts the day. You will all love it from the bottom of your heart to your tippy toes. Thanks you for making a painters day so joyful
