The Rigth Quality For The Right Needs. Low Price. Great Deal.
This pole measures a whopping 12' when fully extended. I bougth it with this brush: Hydro Tools 8235 10-Inch Professional Floor and Wall Pool Brush and it works perfectly. However, it WILL NOT fit the cheap tools included with SummerScapes cleaning tools such as nets and vacums. This pole's diameter is much wider. The pole is made of what seems to be aluminum, but I could be wrong. It is light and a bit flimsy, but at this price, it is more thann perfect for my needs. I was looking for a cheap alternative to other more expensive, not so needed poles and this one fits the bill quite nicely. It has two adjusting knobs to to extend it to its max length and vice versa. It is easy to manage and manouver while cleaning; I didn't suffer from arm fatigue or had any difficulty while setting it up. A perfect product for the right needs.A final note. Amazon tried their best to protect the pole from damage during shipping, they stuffed a lot of packing heavey duty paper, but the pole still came with a small bent a the main opening, it was small and easy enough to fix. The material it is made of is thin (not too thin of course) and easy enough to re-adjust/fix.

Good value, sturdy and well built pole
I have to disagree with the reviews who say this is a flimsy pole. It is very solidly built and fits together very well. The one gripe I have is that you can pull the two halves of the pole apart when you're extending it to it's maximum range. They should have built it with a bump-stop. To be clear, it does not come apart during use; it can come apart if you pull too hard when you're extending it. All you have to do is reinsert the smaller half and twist the handle to lock it in place. Once locked, it's sturdy as a solid pole and works extremely well.PROS:SturdyAttractive blue finishExtends to 12 feetCONS:Have to be careful when extending the pole to maximum rangeThe Bottom Line:This is a good value pole. Very sturdy and easy to use. Just make sure your accessories are made to fit this size pole.

Good Pole for Your Pool Gear
This is a good pole for your pool accessories and cleaning gear. It’s your standard fit, and it extends smoothly. I like the blue color. It feels sturdy, but the longer you make it, the more wobbly it becomes. Still way better than my old one. Works great for me.

Adjustable And sturdy.
Our pool has a deep end so this adjustable pole works well with various cleaning tools. It is useful in the shorter length for skimming the surface with a leaf net, and can be extended to reach the bottom as well. The cheerful blue color looks nice and it also has a rubber hand grip.

Good quality, came fast, and no damage
Purchased on Monday, with free shipping and item arrived 3 days later on Thursday. I have had a pool now for over 12 years and purchased several poles of different lengths over the years. Poles I recently purchased from Home Depot were thinner and cheaper quality than the older ones I have. And after using them for short time, the holes where the clip goes got bigger and now the brush falls out. I was concerned about this happening again so I was looking for a good quality pole. This one seems to be very good quality. It's thicker and does not look like it will get messed up as easy as the cheaper pole from Home Depot. Also, the plastic fitting where you adjust the size of the pole is bigger than on my older poles and easier to grip and hand tighten or loosen. The only problem I encountered with the pole is it slipped in a bit while brushing when I had it extended. I adjusted and tightened again a little bit more and it was fine after this. I think I will purchase a couple more of these poles in different lengths if I can find them.

Perfect for my pool
This extends far enough that I can reach the far side of my 15 foot pool easily and I added it to my existing net, fits perfect! Very happy.

Metal thickness not up to the task
This is a horriblly cheap design and begins to fail after only 2 weeks of use. I have another telescopic pole that has performed perfectly for 7 years. With this Swimline pole, the pole section closest to the handle bends (permanently) ever so slightly under normal use under the weight of the pole itself and any water that gets inside when scoping. Once that happens, that pole section will no longer slide in and out of the next larger section. You can even see where it binds with its enveloping section as the aluminum becomes scratched on the smaller section pole. I did manage to straighten that section of the pole but it just bends again under additional use (so it was not just a manufacturing time issue but rather a fundamental design issue).I took the pole apart to compare its construction with the telescopic pole (unknown brand) that I already had. The thickness of the wall of the metal tubing on the Swimline pole is visibly thinner. I don't have a set of calipers or I'd provide measurements. Note that my other pole was only 12' when extended vs. the Swimline pole is 15' which should have needed a thicker metal (not THINNER). Apparently Swimline is more concerned with shaving a tiny bit of cost rather than providing a quality product. So DO NOT order this pole if you plan to use it at its full length with a net for scooping and want to be able to actually telescope the pole.
