Ordered from Amazon Warehouse - sceptical as it was flagged as 'Acceptable' condition. Was expecting it to look well used, and was prepared to send back if too bad. In fact, although it was used, could tell by a few coffee grinds that had materialised during transport, I cannot find a single scratch on it, and basically looks new. All of these are marked as 'Acceptable' in the warehouse, so I assume it is a standard practice for this type of machine. It came with instructions and everything it should do. Instructions are important due to the process you need to follow to get into the setup menu. Still experimenting with coffee and settings, but so far, so good. We like our coffee hot, which is a problem with this machine and many others from what I read. There is a brew heat setting, we have this on max, and the coffee itself is hot. Not scalding. Milk is the problem. Straight from fridge, it produces luke warm milk. While the coffee is being made, we decant required milk into a small jug, quick 30 - 50 sec blast in microwave, depending on how much milk you have, to get it to room temperature'ish, and now the machine produces hot milk. Its just a matter of getting used to doing things in the right order to save time. NB. If you preheat the milk too much, it will boil as it goes through the milk wand, and not work properly. The milk comes out very creamy with quite a fluffy top. I personally prefer the dense creamy milk, so for me, I have the milk go into another small jug, and I hold the lighter frothy stuff back as I pour it. My wife takes it as it comes. It sounds a phaff, but honestly it is still quicker than my old machine where I needed to manually steam the milk. I cleaned for the first time at the weekend. Really it is straight forward and simple for the weekly clean requirements. Some people complain about the drip tray filling up quickly. It does, because the end of use cleaning cycle dispenses water into the drip tray from inside the machine. Honestly, it slides out easily, and a quick rinse in the sink all is good. It could do with some baffles to stop the fluid slopping around, as the tray is long, but go carefully and all is well.

Makes quite strong and creamy coffee. Switched to cheaper beans as it waste quite a lot of beans compared to a semi automatic coffee maker. The thickness of the wasted puck is double the size and it has been quite soggy (see pic) It also wastes a lot of water, being automatic, it washes the brewing unit and the pipes after dispensing coffee, something that cannot be controlled through settings. Roughly, 1 L of water is consumed roughly for 2 cups of coffee (including auto cleaning) Hence it is highly recommended to read its instructions booklet thoroughly to make sure service operations are clear. The coffee temperature comes out just fine however the cold milk is heated on the fly and the froth can cool the top layer. Black Friday offer was good value for money for the machine itself. Running cost is significantly higher compared to manual or semi auto coffee machines because of scheduled maintenance cycles demanding cleaning tablets, descaling tablets, higher water usage and more bean wastage.

Great coffee machine. V please with it. Coffee taste does depend on what coffee beans you choose (of course !). The milk frother is great & easy to use - I just froth the milk directly over the coffee, instead of into a jug first. You can make about 4 cups of coffee before the machine maches you empty out the tray of water, and spent coffee bean "pucks". The water tank holds enough to make about maximum 4 cups anyway. I have maybe 2-3 cups per day - so it's a daily chore emptying the tray and taking the milk frother bits apart & cleaning. The internal bean-grinding mechanism needs removed from the machine every week to wash under a tap. None of the cleaning is difficult to do, and hindsight, hardly surprising - but just don't fall under the illusion that a "bean-to-cup" machine is a hassle-free way of making coffee. I'm just on a quest to find a nice coffee bean brand that is nice & strong yet not bitter. Illy Classico Arabica coffee beans taste lovely. I then bought a 3kg bag of Avanza expresso coffee - big mistake - too bitter. I really love the coffee you get in Spain - strong yet gorgeous flavour, not botter. Would love if anyone could recommend what is used. Is the secret UHT milk, instead of fresh milk ??? It eats coffee beans fast too but I never was aware beforehand how many coffee beans are used per cup anyway.

Excellente machine. Le groupe d'extraction est vraiment très bon; c'est le même que la Melitta TS Barista qui est une superbe machine. Le résultat en tasse est vraiment excellent; la machine est simple d'utilisation. Le Cappucinator fonctionne aussi très bien. Par ailleurs, elle est très étroite, pour une machine auto, ce qui est idéal pour des petits plans de travail. Dernier point hyper positif : elle est très silencieuse. Bravo Melitta pour cet excellent produit, qui, en terme de résultat, vaut largement des produits à 500€.

First 30 mins I struggled as I was not able to start brewing, then I had removing the brewing module and inserted it back and then it was a charm. Crème coffee comes out, milk comes out good. Next seven days will do some experimenting with different beans, and update the review. Overall a small and a good machine with Indian plug and operation is very silent, small and cute machine which does the job well. Will update more in sometime..

Easy to set up. Makes great coffee…and I am quite particular about my coffee. Perfect for the kitchen.
