I ordered this test to get a better understanding of my microbial profile. The test came with clear instructions and was easy to complete. I mailed the test in quickly and got my results in about 8 weeks. The report was easy to read and contained two sections, Gutbiome and Gene. The Gutbiome section was further subdivided into 6 categories, Microbe Profile, Probiotic Profile, Gut Type, Lifestyle Status, Nutritional Utility and Metabolism. Each category was then broken down further. The Gene Section had two sub categories, Food and Traits. As a result, there is a significant amount of data to absorb. Based on my own understanding, and with out independent verification, the results were quite accurate. I now know what to do to improve my overall gut health. I highly recommend this product.

I have been suffering from diarrhea since a while agoㅠㅠ The clinic informed me of the stool testing, but it was expensive;; So I found it while searching for a stool test. however I hesitated because it wasn't a hospital. Finally, I decided to use this service because of its reliable technology and competitive price. I really liked the convenient and friendly response. After getting result and I suppose I'll just try again.

I was really excited to see the results from my test. When I reviewed results that were easily confirmed (such as my hair type-it said straight though I have the curliest hair ever, it said I have high iron despite chronic anemia, it said I am likely a night-owl though I get up a 4am and am in bed by 8, said I was lactose tolerant which I am not, said I have high fasting blood sugar which mine is on the low side-the list goes on) they were so off base I just don't feel I can trust any portion of the testing (granted they said "a high likelihood" of having each trait so there is a margin for error but there were way too many traits that were way off). I was also hoping for suggestions such as which probiotic supplements would be best or nutritional advice based on my findings but there was none of that. It was recommended that I use the Viome test but this had a better price and good Amazon reviews but now I am wishing I had gone with the other brand. I do feel like I wasted the money as I do not have any good reliable data that will help me with my health and fitness goals going forward.

It was very easy to use even though I did this kind of tests for the first time. The package held collection kits for saliva and stool separately, and instructions were easy to follow.The results are very detailed and provide gut health profile as well as just personal genetic information. I’m enjoying learning about my DNA and researching what it means behind. Furthermore, the microbiome in my gut also gives me guidance to my daily diet.I’m looking into another product ‘GutBiome+’ for more detailed analyses.

The results were about 85-90% accurate in describing my qualities, likes and dislikes, strengths and weaknesses. I am very healthy, so as a result, I did not learn anything new. For me it was not worth the money.

We purchased this gut biome test kit because our son is having rather severe GI difficulties. This test kit was easy to use and submit and the results came back in 5 or 6 weeks. The results are mostly confusing. For example, we're told that our son has both a "high" and "low" level of Vitamin A. The final report has several "Explanation Guides" for how to read the results, but I can't tell if those are example results or if those results apply to our son. The guides are not clear on that. Very confusing. Also, we're told our son is likely to have both "thin eyebrows" and "thick unibrow." Okay. Our son has straight reddish hair, and we're told he's likely to have very curly, non-red hair. Lots of conflicting and non-applicable results. All we've gathered from this final report is that our son should exercise, take probiotics, and eat more fiber. That's stuff we already knew. Overall, we have little confidence that any of these results are accurate or apply to our son.

I tried this test kit per recommendation from my friend, who used the product before and was apparently super satisfied with it. In my opinion, this best answers your gift idea questions especially if you are looking for something very fun and informative at the same time. The instruction in the kit is very easy to follow and you get the reports back very quickly. Be ready to get Wow'ed as you read the results! :)
