Great little radio
I bought this for my daughter’s bird’s that I was babysitting. I ended up loving it in general. It’s so retro looking and cute , and it’s nice to just have a little old school radio in my spare room that I also use for a Pilates studio. The birds loved it. lol. ( she plays music for them while she is at work ).

Fun little radio
Great radio that catches all the stations I listen to and has good sound for what it is. Static was nonexistent, though that may depend on your location. Size is great to take anywhere and the design is a nice throwback. Would recommend for sure.

Set expectations accordingly
I'm going to echo what a lot of the other reviews have said. Number one, the sound quality is good but you have to turn it almost all the way up to hear it. Number two, the plastic is very thin and it feels very cheap and fragile overall. That being said, you have to set expectations accordingly for what this is. It looks like a vintage 1960s purse radio, but it's a reproduction, so it's not the same vintage build quality. That means it's going to be very cheaply made to get it anywhere below the $75 price mark. I speak as someone who has a home filled with both real and reproduction antiques and vintage collectibles. I already have a work horse portable radio that's built like a tank, I literally just bought this because of how it looked and how it goes with my front sitting room. I did plug it in and test it with the enclosed AC adapter and the tuning work just fine for me, in fact I was able to pick up my favorite radio station which is not strictly local without even extending the antenna. That being said, it feels like this would take wear and tear very quickly so it's probably going to be more of a display piece than anything else. And for the price, I've honestly paid more than that for less well made reproductions in other rooms, or real vintage radios and electronics that were display only and didn't even work. I'm satisfied.

Cute but poor reception here
It’s very light, compact and we wanted something with an outlet plug. We bought this for our dog who finds the Hallmark Channel relaxing and it helps her sleep as she’s 17 years old with some cognitive decline. I was hoping to find a talk radio station for her to listen to but we don’t get any AM channels at all on it and only about 3 stations on the FM. Unfortunately, we are returning it because it doesn’t dial into many radio options where we are. I would guess it depends on location? Too bad because it is very vintage cute looking but it just doesn’t work for us, even for personal use, due to poor reception.

NICE SIMPLE RADIO THAT DOES WHAT IT SHOULD DO. NO PROBLEMS.
I bought it after reading a whole lot of reviews. It arrived fast and it is been playing for few days.So far no problems whatsoever. I am assuming those people who gave bad reviews for it not reaching some stations do not realize that the reception of the radio vary by the area. If you get a good signal for a given station for your area then this radio will definitely be able to pick it up. Not all signals are distributed evenly and they are not available in all areas. The greater urban density the more stations and the stronger signal and the more rural area further from the tower the weaker the signal so that is that. Not the radio problems.Radio is really lovely as it looks very vintage and this is the style I was looking for. It is good quality plastic and the finish is also nice quality, it does not look c heap. It is very light though. VERY light.Which is great if you are moving about with it or for elderly who have very weak hands to port it from one area of the house to another as it feather light. The operation is SUPER easy.Volume: the door on the top left as you face the radio, just turns easily to increase and decrease volumeTo Change stations - you just turn that big nice button on the face of the radio so the "station catcher" :) (my term) moves around the scale and as you do it goes through stations so you can stop wherever your heart pleases. It is nice as that is also easy to operate for elderly need be as there is no requirement of any fine motor skills here.It is great for young and older crowd as the style is really cool and works with a whole lot of eclectic interiors and also pure modern ones.

Small and Simple But Perfect
I was looking for something to leave on for my cats when I’m gone for a few days. If you’re looking for something small and uncomplicated this would fit the bill. It’s inexpensive but fits my needs perfectly. Great value for your dollar! Plus it’s cute too!

good sound
Having just returned a different radio for poor sound, it was a relief to find this very inexpensive radio that can be operated on either battery or plugged in. Sound is good. Body & turn knob do not seem terribly solid, but so far are doing the job.
