Sony WI-C600N Wireless Bluetooth Noise Cancelling In-Ear Headphones Optimised for Voice Assistant - Black (Renewed)

I have a range of headphones and earphones from £100.00 to £500+. as well as custom moulded earphones for a perfect fit. I connect to a dual ESS DAC as my sound source.I like to vary the headphones I listen to. I enjoy listening with the Sony WH-1000XM5 and Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones.But, when it’s too hot, and I don’t want to mess about inserting my custom moulded earphones, I needed another solution.I purchased these cheap set of earphones, the Sony WI-C600N to solve that problem. And, that problem they indeed solve!While a neckband is not to everyone’s liking, Sony made the band with silicone. This makes the neckband lightweight and comfortable. As a result, you forget you are wearing it.The only downside are the controls. They are difficult and awkward to use. For example, I often have to turn the headphones on, before putting them around my neck. This is because the controls are so similar I can never feel my way to the on/off button.I question, “what was Sony thinking, with their button design for the WI-C600N model?” The cheaper WI-C400 model has much better, more pronounced buttons. But, an inferior sound and build quality.For this price point the WI-C600N earphones sound incredible. The AI Noise Cancellation is also impressive.Yet, you can further enhance the sound by following these tips:1. Download Sony’s headphone app. Configure the sound to your liking via the parametric equaliser.2. Now my golden tip, no pun intended. Buy a set of suitable foam tips to replace the standard silicone tips.I purchased SONICFOAM, the SF2 version. These will fit the Sony WI-C600N perfectly. You will need to consider whether to choose small, medium or large tips for your ears. The seal is so important.I recommend SONICFOAM tips because of the quality, value and the company's superior customer service.I recommend these earphones. They offer exceptional value for money. They sound amazing, are comfortable, lightweight, practical and great for summer days.

Sounds really good but you will need the Sony Headphones Connect app as the app offers preset sound profiles and option for a couple custom profiles using a 5-band equaliser plus clear bass settings. Makes a world of difference.The AI Noise cancellation? Let’s just say these can cancel out noise around you by 50% at best, you can still hear noise/ sounds around you- yes with the NC on, not Transparency mode on (I ordered some foam earbud-tips to improve the passive noise isolation)Battery life is actually pretty good (with noise cancellation off), I have been getting 7 hours use by 20% battery level and this works out as over 8.5 hours of use on full battery in theory (been charging my earphones at 20%)Build quality is typically very Sony- high quality and great design. Buttons need getting used to though but not bad overall.These are great for music and that’s what I bought them forUPDATE:AI Noise cancellation seem to be working better than initial impression- had a standing fan on, then switched on the NC whilst not playing any music and it cancelled the whirring fan noise out completely. Maybe the AI NC works best if music initially switch off whilst enabling the NC

Poor sound quality. Believe this is the first Sony product that has disappointed. You only truly get a decent sound if you press and hold the pods to your ears. Tried using the different ear cones but none made a difference. Great design idea, and I preferred the design to using apple ear pods or my chunky Bluetooth Bose headphones. Just not prepared to compromise sound quality.Sorry! These are dreadful

Good head phones, great fit for running and cycling but the battery life is limited and stopped charging after a few days.

The audio quality seems really good to me (I'm no audiophile).The noise cancellation is usually imperceptible but in some situations it surprises you. I think it's better for drones than voices.It charges from a wallsocket charger and a powerblock, but not from a laptop USB-C charger. This confused me at first.

These headphones are great, the sound quality is excellent and they're very comfortable.If you download the sony headphones app it gives you greater control.
