Quick start seeds, sturdy stalks, beautiful blooms!
I’m a casual garden hobbyist, work full time, so it’s important for me to find easy to plant, easy to grow type of seeds.Half of the Sunny Bunch Hybrid seeds I started indoors, half direct sow. Quick growth to indoor seedlings, but did poorly when transplanted. Out of the 12 seeds planted directly outside, only 3 grew. The lucky trio, however, have become the highlight of my little garden. They have large, lovely bright yellow blooms on thick, sturdy stalks. I’m surprised they have not needed any stakes. They do need quite a bit of daily watering for the first few days, but these blooms were unfazed by the103-104 degree California heat in July! I’ve compared this variety with my other sunflowers and decided to buy it again. I like their smaller height, the quick start on the seedlings and above all, the prolific number of cut flowers on just 3 plantsmakes it a promising first attempt.

Not 50 seeds! Not even close!! 34!!!!
I wanted to feed the deer and, I love sunflower seeds, so I got these. After waiting for the right temps in my area, I measured, tilled the soil, planted my companion plants and broke this 50 pack open. I was so very disappointed. I expected 54+ seeds in this 50 pack, to accommodate for bad seeds. Nope. I had 34 non-cracked seeds, 3 cracked and…wood??? Still, I’m very disappointed in the seed count. I have 3-5 days of good rain coming, so if they don’t germinate, I’ll be disappointed. I’ll update this post in a few weeks, but I’m incredibly disappointed that I was shorted 16 seeds.

It got huge
I planted 4-6 seeds and only 1 successfully grew but boy did it grow. It grew past the gutter on a 1 story home and the flower was huge. I'm going to plant more of them next year and hopefully I'll get more plants.

Nice very tall sunflowers!
These are very nice sunflowers. Virtually all the seeds sprouted, and those that escaped the local rabbits did better with more sun exposure. I transplanted ones that were in the shade into a sunny area after the plants were several feet tall. I know this is not what is suggested. By the end of the summer, all the plants grew to 8 to 12 feet in height, those with more sun early did better. Many bees stopped by. Several of the plants did bend and grow at an angle with wind and rain, but none broke or fell over. I did consider staking the stalks, but to be effective, this would require a very tall and strong stake and I do not think this is necessary. They look very nice and I will plant more next year. They created a bit of a hedge affect and blocked plants underneath from receiving much sun - something to think about when selecting a location.

Impressed! They grew easily and more than the height they say, over 10ft tall!!
If your a garden hobbyist, just starting out, or few yrs under your belt! A beginner with sunflowers like me, these are your seeds! Just be prepared, they are like mammoth sunflowers! I’ve always wanted to grow some sunflowers around the yard. Never having much luck! Decided to edge my garden bed with these, for shade, and I didn’t plan on them being as tall, But these, my goodness. They took, every seed I planted! And by my surprise, they grew taller and taller and taller! And turned into massively gorgeous sunflowers! Wasn’t prepared for that so they became droopy but that was on me! Stunning tho, and people compliment them every time they see them! The stalk was so thick I used them as a trellis for my cucumbers and now it’s a jungle of yellow flowers! And they hold up everything just great!

Not Mammoth's
Definitely not mammoth. Regular sunflowers pretty much. I have had mammoths and these were not them. They did all sprout quickly and matured as expected, otherwise.
