For the handyman this is an excellent way to have a superior quality murphy bed at a very reasonable price. Product is great and the instruction manuals are excellent

Great product and fantastic instructions but honestly just buy an already made Murphy bed. After all is said and done we spent 26 hours and $750ish dollars on wood, the kit and additional little supplies needed to make this and we still need to stain and paint it.

Very well made Murphy bed with excellent instructions found it chalenging,not necessarily easy but well worth the trouble.

Bought this product as I wanted to make more space to use our spare room as an office and not just a bedroom. After doing some research I decided to give this a try. The instructions right from the cutting of the material to putting it together are amazingly good. The bed is very sturdy when put together and I am very happy with the way it turned out.I would suggest that you need to be somewhat into wood working, as you will need to have some skill/experience to pull off some nice finishing. Also, if you don't have really good table saw/or a couple of extra hands, I would suggest on getting the hardware stores to cut the plywood sheets for you.Altogether, it isn't a cheaper project, with hardware/materials/tools required to finish the job was between $1050 to $1100, but worth it when you can add whatever finish you like.100% would buy this product again.

I'm a pretty handy gal, but this was my first full furniture build. My husband was working nights and I just couldn't wait for his days off, so I got to work. The guides were perfect! Steps you through then entire process. Even though this was a tall order for a single person to complete with such heavy pieces, it turned out beautifully. I need to switch out the handle and bulk up the nightstands a bit, but it's perfect for our office space.Also, the customer service for DIY Murphy Beds was top notch. I had a part of my plywood warp and went to Home Depot to get a replacement piece of wood, completely forgetting the measurements at home. I called them on a long shot, hoping they might give me the dimensions and save me the trip back home. Not only did they give me the measurements, I got a confirmation text with everything after hanging up. I was also short one of the plastic washers (which Home Depot didn't have) and the company sent me some, free of charge, even though I purchased on Amazon.I would highly recommend this product and this company!
