Leader of a group of bounty hunters, Maximillian must fight against aliens to foil their plans to take over the world. Use over 500 weapons and armor to run missions engaging in battle with Extraterrestrial Intelligence (ETI) of 40 different alien species. Advanced enemy AI will adapt to player health and weapon type. Dungeons are randomly generated each time so game play is a different experience every time. Wireless gaming allows players to access rare items to share that are hard to get alone. Chief gameplay features its massive set of armaments all of which can be customized for combat as you get new gear and attack powers. Weaponry allows a different style of combat including both melee weapons and ranged combat accessories to fire holes into enemies from afar before they have a chance to fight back right away. The combat system has you always armed with 2 weapons, a right and left arm attacked assigned from many of the weapons in the game. Each weapon has an independent button for instant attack use and various button combinations for secondary fire or special combat moves. Also for combat is a barrier and shield spell set. The shield puts a small bubble around you and is used to charge through heavy fire. The force field makes a much bigger bubble around nearby enemies, keeping away outside attackers. For more firepower, dual wield both melee and ranged weapons in both hands or switch weapons on the fly to take on changing advanced enemy AI according to your health and weaponry, promosing every battle to be as intense as the first. Bounty Hounds also allows downloading 2 modes Trial and Vs. utilizing the wireless connectivity of the PSP system. The Trial Mode provides players with a single-player mission, while the Vs. Mode offers head-to-head battles and trade collected arms.

This is one of the most underated games on psp the graphics are a bit dated ut the gameplay is rediculous fun hack and slash. its a great way to jsut blow off steam without having to go through all the puzzles and stuff that seem to be in every game nowadays. very simple to learn. tons of weapons and armor scustomization very much worth every penny!!

Exceeded My Expectations
First off, I have to agree with S. Bartle "Guardian 42" this game really reminds you of Monster Hunter in terms of Gameplay, but a lot faster paced. This game really can be FUN at times, mainly because of the RPG elements in the game. But I have to admit that the repetitive gameplay and lack of a better more understandable story really hurt this title for me. So for those of you who don't want to read any further, I suggest this as definitely a rental, or to purchase if you REALLY want an average Hack and Slash game with RPG elements or if just don't have any other great 3rd person shooters to play. Now on with the review...Graphics - 4.5 - Actually are great!! I'd say definitely some of the BEST graphics I have seen on the PSP, I was actually pretty impressed!!Sound - 3.0 - Okay, nothing amazing here at all! Typical action background music.Controls - 4.3 - Also pretty darn good, surprisingly. I actually have no complaints here good lock on system for ranged weapons and good reaction time for melee weapons. Only thing I may have added is a button to make "MAX" sprint, but other than that good solid controls.Gameplay - 3.0 - Okay this is where and why I decided to give this game a 3 overall. First of all the camera does suck but is very tolerable. The gameplay seems pretty fresh at first, but after the "go here kill everything and return with spoils of battle and move to the next area to do it all again", gets old to me quick. They could have thrown in a few puzzles or mini games to break the monotony. But rarely is there a surprise or change that keeps you interested. I love RPG's so that was the only thing that honestly made me want to keep playing this game, that being leveling up, buying and modding new weapons and armor. This game actually could have been GREAT!! With a better more understandable story that maybe tied in to the gameplay more. Maybe add in a combo system, a solid puzzle here and there. All in all the idea of this game is fresh in a sense of the menu and RPG elements but again very repetitive gamplay, and not very challenging. So overall, if you are a Hack and Slash game fan and you like RPG's, you PROBABLY won't be TOO disappointed, but if you are like me and need just a little more out of your gameplay experience than just "go here kill everything and return with spoils" just rent this one. I will have to say honestly that I didn't expect too much from this game so all together it did exceed my expectations, but it could have been a LOT better.I personally am a fan of lots of Genres of games, with the exception of a lot of strict car driving/racing games, so I did enjoy this game for what it was, and it was pretty fun. Sometimes though seeing a games potential can ultimately hurt it. Especially when it falls really short of reaching that potential.

Great gameplay, great graphics, some issues
The game play in this game is very nice. I've found myself playing nothing other than this game for hours - the storyline is pretty nice and there is definitely a lot of action. The universe is filled with hundreds of items, and there are near-endless combinations for your wearables, and therefore what you look like. The controls are quite well thought out, and make the game very easy to play, and yet very interesting. The main killer with this game, however, is the graphics. The graphics are stunning. As said in previous reviews, the sound is okay - it's not perfect, but it's not bad either. It's the standard RPG-style sound scheme - background music and sounds of guns and swords. The only gripe I have with this game is the camera angle. It gets VERY annoying at times, especially when you move between rooms. It takes some getting used to and can be a complete pain at times. If they had put together a static camera angle, the game would easily get 5-stars from me.All in all, this game is a great pick for the RPG fan who wants to game it up on the PSP.

MH + god of war + scifi = awesome game
like the title says, and others have stated, this game feels like monster hunter, with the fast paced action of god of war, with some really cool science fiction elements, and well round rpg injection, this game is really enjoyable. the music sounds great, and helps set the tone for the game, but at times it feels like drakengard when it comes to fighting wave upon wave on enemies (but it isnt as overwhelming or so dangerously repetitive that makes you want to put down the game). with lots of different weapons and weapon types (like the piledriver sets) along with all the different armor and looks, its a refreshing break visual wise compared to most rpg's out there. the story is a little hard to follow sometimes by way of how its set up, but the graphic novel style for the story elements look good. the story is a little drab at parts, but when you get past the 1/2 mark (you think the end is the end, but you end up only being midway through the game) brings a nice little twist, but the story is linear and doesnt change much. but overall, the games action and unique feel, along with great looking weapons, armor, and abilities definitely make the game worth the buy.
