Transmasculine binding: not perfect, but very close. Very very happy.
This Underworks compression shirt is great for me and for my goals.I will attempt to give all of my "stats" & why i ordered the size i chose. I am 5'8" tall, 155lbs. Under the 'bust' i measure 35 inches, 42 across the widest part of my chest. In femme clothing i wear a 36-38 D-DD cup bra depending on manufacturer; my "dress size" is approx a "woman's" size 10. Underworks advised that i take my rib and "bust" measurements, average them, and per the size chart, order a size medium.First off: thanks to all reviewers who mentioned this: step in, pull up! It will stretch over soft hip flesh far more easily than over the bones of your shoulders. You're likely to get "stuck" in it if you pull it over your head!Things to consider about fit. The edges "show" through a thin shirt, especially around the underarms. It also bunches and can ride up a bit through the waist; guys who have a shorter stature and/or slender waist may notice this more. I adjust it a couple times throughout the day but it's hardly a bother. Compared to other binders and methods this is totally acceptable for me. The bottom of the undershirt sits on me about where it does the male model in the photo - mid to low hip. As mentioned i am tall, 5'8". If you're a shorter guy, it will pull down low over your thighs. So does it bind? Yes, very well! - but not perfectly. If I bind down, i do look flat chested, but there is a telltale thickness around my ribs which is unflattering. Binding up, i end up with a small bust-like chest, perhaps an "A" cup. I prefer to bind up for a trimmer v-shaped look around the ribs. Mostly i just look athletic, but if someone were really "looking" for boobs on me, they could probably detect them. Overall, my naturally very full/soft/curvy bust miraculously appears high, tight, hard, athletic, and significantly flattened. A little bonus control in the tummy area encourages engaged core muscles, which is great for holding posture & making the shoulders look broader.Although the binder isn't that perfect boob-erasing miracle we all hope for, my feelings of delight and relief upon seeing my chest firmly compressed while still being able to breathe are reflected in my rating of five stars. FTM guys & transmasculine persons: read reviews, do your research. I wish i could recommend a binder that *perfectly* conceals full D+ cup sizes down to flawless manly flatness while still maintaining a flexible range of motion for a full day's activities, but i have yet to find one. This comes very very close.I am extremely happy with the overall effect and quality of this Underworks undershirt/binder. I have washed it gently several times. It remains flexible & comfortable, and has maintained its firmness. I feel attractive when i wear it, it has increased my confidence dramatically, and i'm ordering three more.

Works great!
I have been very impressed with the shirt. I'm not sure why others indicate that it is difficult to put on, I did not find this true at all. Yes it is tight but it can be put on quite easily. The compression is great and does make a big difference, I had others provide me with an opinion as well. I was told it made me look like I had better posture and with all the "flab" pulled in nice and snug my body looked more uniform rather than bulges here and there. I wasn't sure about this as I am a big guy at 365lbs, so it does work for a guy of my size. It does a pretty good job of keep sweat wicked away compared to the other one I purchased at the same time. I haven't done it yet, but I thought about wearing it when I exercise to see if it helps (my guess is yes it will). Also, I've followed the washing instructions and it holds up well. Definitely would recommend.

My one year review
I have to say, I’m really impressed with this shirt. First, a big thank you to the reviewer who mentioned the “step in, pull up” method it makes it so much easier to get it over your hips rather than trying to pull it over your shoulders. Without that tip, I probably would’ve gotten stuck trying to pull it over my head!I don’t quite understand why some people say it’s hard to put on, because I didn’t find that to be true at all. Yes, it’s tight, but it’s still easy to get into, and the compression is fantastic. It really does make a noticeable difference.A couple of things to note about the fit: the edges can show through a thin shirt, especially around the underarms, and it does tend to bunch up and ride up a bit around the waist. Guys with a shorter frame or slimmer waist might notice this more. That said, the effect is great—I've been told it improves my posture, and it really helps smooth everything out, making my body look more uniform instead of having bulges in certain areas. For reference, I’m 265 lbs, and this works just fine for someone my size.It also does a great job of keeping sweat at bay. I do find myself adjusting it a few times during the day, but it’s hardly a hassle. In terms of quality for the money, I’d say this is a fantastic purchase. It feels sturdy, but still flexible, and it offers great compression without feeling uncomfortable. The price is really reasonable for the quality you get, especially compared to other similar products out there.I’ve followed the washing instructions, and after 1 year of gentle washes, it’s still holding up really well. It remains comfortable and the firmness is still intact. I honestly feel more confident and attractive when I wear it, so I’m definitely ordering more. Highly recommend it!

It compresses your soul
Holy crap! Whoever said this doesn't compress you chest and/or stomach is a liar. So first day, right outta the bag, I try it on. So after about 3 minutes of struggling to get it on, I finally get it on completely, and it fits great except for the fact that not only does it compress my chest, it decides to go deeper and compress my lungs as well. You get a two-for-one type of deal because it flattens out the chest and forces you to improve you posture at the same time because you're physically trying to get more oxygen into your body in hopes of not passing out. Please do you due diligence and measure your chest for proper fitment instead of saying, "meh...that looks like it'll fit", like I did. Regardless of all that, this for me, is not an everyday usage compression garment. Will be more of the weapon of choice when I need to fit that one specific button up shirt and/or suit for that special occasion or night out....I'll just bring an oxygen tank with me as well for safety measures. Oh and material feels durable and will last for long term, but that's a different review.
