Once one of the housing's are mounted. Will the camera/LCD remain water proof?

It appears so.... if the sealed back with hard plastic over the LCD area is used. There is a back with a plastic film cover over the LCD so you can touch operate the LCD, I would imagine that would only be good for rain or splashing.

Does it fit into waterproof case?

Yes, it fit into waterproof (I use diving case) case of GoPro 2, in other models I'm not sure.

Will this work with the GoPro Hero 2?

According to the GoPro website it will work but with limited compatibility. I don't know how well it works, the best thing to do is call GoPro for details.
