These flat pedals have a low price and a high quality product.
These flat pedals of 3 Ball Bearings per pedal have a good grip, which are made up of 8 replaceable screws on each side. I recommend 100%.

A great pedal
I went from a Raceface Chester (RFC) pedals to this Alston pedals on my Yeti SB5.5. The fit and finish on the Alston (A) pedals are perfect and the bearings roll so Amazingly well. The bearings in the Alston pedals are so much better than the RFC ever were. I have put about 700 miles on my RFC and lubed the bearing once which helped greatly. The A's cleat bolts don't stick up quite as far and the pedals are not as sticky as the RFC. the A's are aluminum too which makes them slicker than the RFC which are a polymer. I really have no issues with the RFC except the bears don't roll easily. I did notice on my rides how much better good bearings feel. they take no effort on the A PEdals. The A's are great pedals but not as sticky as the RFC. I have put about 21 miles on the A's without slipping off so I don't really think it will be an issue but I might tap a few more screws or atleast buy some longer screws for the A Pedals. I would not hesitate to buy another set of the Alston pedals and will actually buy another pair as a backup. The Alston's are a few mm's wider that the RaceFace Chester's. Both pedals are what I consider to be great pedals but the Alston pedals are approx $25.00 so you can't beat that. The RaceFace Chesters are about $40.00. I think the Alston are as good as any $100+ pedal. I will try to update this with more rides. I would add photos but cant figure out how...

Very NICE
Remember these are 9/16 bolts, measured to the outside of the threads. These are WELL constructed and very solid, I had my doubts from the picture but after 40 years in the machining trades, these are NICE, very nice.Ok, these replaced the platform peddles on a Specialized Crossroads 2.0, which to be kind...sucked.* ZERO friction with wet shoes, ouch. You will need a 8mm Allen and a 15mm open end. To LOOSEN, the left goes counter clockwise (it's a left hand screw), prop the RH peddle against something and apply some torque, be careful of your fingers. Now the tricky part find the proper peddle, see the picture, that is for the LEFT side of the bike. Use a LITTLE grease on the threads and your fingers to get it started then the 8mm Allen to get it snug, again block the other peddle the opposite way to get it as snug as you can. Repeat for the other side, you will go counter clockwise to loosen and clockwise to tighten.*Now why the original peddles sucked, they were anything but free spinning, felt like they were full of grit (this is a brand new bike) and my foot slipped when wet. The new peddles 1. spin freely, bearing feel beautiful and 2. the new ones grip my sneakers nicely.I'm a casual rider but why not have good equipment? Enjoy.

So far so good but sharp, crazy sharp
Scary how sharp the screws are. They are shredding my shoes. I would like a better design with maybe more pins (screws) but less sharper. They are wide, so if you are going between narrow places, get ready for the sides to catch and or scrape. I might end up selling these and buy another set of pedals.I'm athletic and I've put tremendous pressure on the 500 miles I've put on them, so far they are still like new.

Great grip & look awesome!!
These pedals offer great grip and confidence while riding my brand new e-mountain bike, and they look and feel to be of very high quality. I have only taken two rides with these pedals, and so far so good. Will have to wait and see how durable they are in the long run, but I have no reason to doubt that they will last. Also very easy to install. I do wish they had a 9/16 bolt along with the allen socket in case they become tight and more difficult to remove later.

Good entry level pedal
I own 2 pairs of these and I think they are a good entry level pedal. They are sturdy with plenty of pins to keep your feet planted. I just wish they were a little bigger. I just purchased another pair of pedals that are a bit bigger and now when I switch to the bikes that have these pedals, they feel less stable. Don’t get me wrong they provide plenty of stability, but if you already ride a bigger pedal, you’ll notice the difference right away.
