Another reviewer mentioned this but these eco caps seem to have difficultly dispensing coffee on occasion. The exact same capsules had been purchased from a well-known supermarket several times and never had an issue. This bulk buy sometimes seems as though the water cannot get through the capsule and the machine keeps trying to force pressure through with only a few drips of coffee coming out before the safety cut off kicks in. The solution seems to be to ensure the lever is pressed firmly down and if there is an issue, slightly open the lever and close again. Good flavour, good service but not as reliable even though they are genuine Lavazza.

I like my coffee strong, which usually rules out pod machines, but after having a few issues with espresso machines I decided to try “a modo mio” pods as they reportedly have a higher quantity of coffee per pod than their competitors, and lavazza is a brand I have good experiences with. I tried a few various strengths and whilst the difference is minimal, I still prefer these 13/13 strength ones. I also sometimes add a second shot to my cappuccino which makes a really nice strong coffee. Whilst a proper espresso machine still makes superior coffee these are pretty decent for a quicker and easier alternative.

This Intenso coffee, the strongest in the range, is my favourite. I enjoy the flavour, body and crema, and friends who drink it invariably ask for seconds! Ideally, there could be a slight increase in the quantity of grounds in each capsule, albeit that it is already more generous than some competitors in this regard. When I last checked, the industrially compostable waste capsules had nowhere in my area to be deposited for recycling.

Love these pods!! So pleased that there's finally an eco friendly way to dispose of the pods, we just stick them in the food recycling bin 👌 They do tend to stick a little in the machine, I'm guessing due to the material they are made of, but you simply push poke the old pod down into the bin before putting a new pod in and it's no bother at all. Definitely worth it for the benefit to the environment!

We have been using the Intense and the passionalle bu thought we sould give this one a try to add a bit of diversity and very glad we did. Great, mellow flavor that does not dilute with the addition of any milk. We will deffinately order again.

A fab morning coffee that has great flavour and depth but doesn’t blow your head off. Ideal for slow Sunday mornings.

Love this coffee Was worried about the eco pods jamming / fitting the machine as a lot of reviews are complaining about eco pods. I have not had a problem they fit and work 100%

Great flavour as always but the eco pods get stuck in the machine and are hard to pry out plus they’re more expensive now that they’re eco. As they’re official lavazza pods you would think this would have been looked at when manufacturing. Other reviewers state it’s the bulk buy ones but I have had other eco pods from the supermarket and they also stick. The eco pods when you measure them seem to be a little bit higher. Will have to persevere as eco pods are all they seem to sell now. The flavour is lovely and rich but the design brings my rating down.
