My senior small dog been taking this for a few weeks and I notice improvement in his mobility. He’s able to walk and move better! We will continue to use this for the rest of his life. My 16 1/2 yr. old mini-schnauzer had a stroke in 2020 and has had difficulty walking since. He's become allergic to almost everything including beef, chicken, shellfish - all the things in regular leg supplements that the vet recommended. It was a godsend to find this, and I've been using it twice a day since Oct. 2021. Because he's so sensitive to things since his stroke and also from reading about the tummy problems in reviews, I started out with a few drops with breakfast and dinner (after reading about flow-control issues, I poked two holes in the seal - one on one side to dispense liquid and one on the other side for air), and gradually worked up to the 1 tsp. 2x/day the bottle recommends. I took my time - about 6 months - to work up to the full dosage amount, and he had no problems at all.He didn't eat it alone, so initially I mixed it in a spoonful of canned tomatoes (he tolerated). Vet recommended 1 oz raw ground turkey/day, so it's easily mixed into that, and with a few pieces of cooked green beans and sweet potato along with his kibble and a bit of water to make gravy, and he eagerly heads to his meals and gobbles it all up! Glucosamine typically takes a couple months to take affect in humans, so I expected the same for my dog. I noticed it helped all along; but since being at the full dosage, I've seen a wonderful difference in his ability to walk. Adding cooked sweet potato also helped him.As for shaking the bottle, I don't shake up and down but rather use a swirling side-to-side motion that keeps it low in the bottle. The label does say to keep it refrigerated. It is a large bottle, but I'm grateful for that as it lasts a long time! Their awesome customer service told me it's medical-grade plastic. There is a new seal now that comes off in the cap to make it easier for people, so I'll simply pour a little into a small flip-top cap bottle I have from elderberry liquid that is also human-grade plastic. An alternative would be to use a glass bottle with a dropper. Easy fix in exchange for the huge benefit in quality of life.Would absolutely recommended you try, but if you have any doubts about tummy issues or sensitivity, start slowly and work up to the full dose.

Ok, our Bella,...(our rescue dog) has shaky legs. I have been giving her this constantly once a day for a few weeks, I do see some improvement.This bottle is good despite other complaints. I am care when I pour so I do not know what others are talking about unless you are not careful. I give her about a tablespoon. Not more. She is 80lbs! Don't care what it say, it seems to work. About 40% improvement. So some improvement if they take it consistently and over timeNote: I do walk her twice a day, a total of 45 minutes. That helps with strengthening legs. **Don't just give them this and let the dog lay there!...all animals and people need some exercise.Bella came from a house where they never walked her, in back yard just let her :( So she had more health problems . Since March her health improved greatly.

Important to introduce this great product slowly. Since a diet change can cause diarrhea or constipation, we reduced the dosage by half for the first week. Remember to keep it refrigerated!Wish cap could have a measuring component, or a small spoon could be provided.

A few days after starting him on this, my dog developed diarrhea which occurred all day every day for 4 or 5 days. I stopped it and it cleared up within a couple days. He was taking a non-veg joint supplement with basically all the same ingredients and no digestive issues. I'll have to look and figure out what the difference is. I was adding this to his food at the suggested amount for his weight. On the plus side, he seemed to like the taste or at least didn't mind it at all.

My 10 yr old golden has hip issues during colder months; her hips/legs often failed, causing her to fall getting in the car, climbing stairs, and getting on the sofa. I tried regular glucosamine, but she had 6 weeks of diarrhea, despite my having stopped the glucosamine after 10 days, taken her for 3 vet visits, and multiple shots and prescriptions. Thought she might be sensitive to shellfish, so I tried this product. Note that this glucosamine is NOT derived from shellfish, it is from corn (thus, non-GMO corn is a primary ingredient). She had a bit of tummy upset the 2nd day, but 2 doses of Pepto-B fixed that, and she's been fine ever since. This vegetarian glucosamine has done the trick to ease her hip discomfort; it allows her to climb unassisted and strengthen the hip/leg muscles. Have reasonable expectations: don't think it will work miracles in 2-3 days (it took us about 1.5 weeks to get relief), and do not expect your mature dog to sprint like, or have the agility/energy of a puppy. My girl loves the taste on her kibble, and it definitely has made her more comfortable, so she is motivated to move and play again. I've ordered another bottle to get us through to spring.UPDATE - a new awful pour cap has been added that does nothing but leak when you have to shake product. Also, pup does not seem to be getting as much relief as she did with this last winter, but maybe because she's a year older.NEW UPDATE - Thank you for going back to old, non-leak cap. Not a miracle, but still helping girl.

My Boerboel has a hind limp on and off. I can that after 2 days of taking this he isn’t limping as much. I know I still have to keep him settled and not bouncing around but he is now putting some pressure back on that leg!I’ll keep you all updated since it has only been a couple days
