They can be a bit pricey sometimes but the quality and the correct dosage of their products are worth every penny. I have not tried all of their products. However, the ones that I do take always meet or exceed expectations.About this product: Vitamin D stores exceptionally well in your system for several weeks. Taking vitamin D3 daily actually slightly impairs utilization. Studies show that blood serum levels increased when supplemental vitamin D is not taken daily. I recommend taking one 2000 IU capsule, 3 or four nonconsecutive days per week. An example would be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. This product should NOT be your only source of vitamin D. If you take a multivitamin it likely contains D3 as well.Megadosers suggest ingesting massive amounts of vitamin D for some imaginary benefits. A total of 8,400 IU to 12,600 IU per week (averages out to 1200 to 1800 IU per day) is more than enough for most people to achieve maximum benefit. Anything that averages more than 2000 IU per day (14,000 IU per week) is a waste of money, will not do anything more for you, and may have adverse effect due to excessive calcium absorbtion.You also need adequate magnesium levels to activate the vitamin D inside of you. Rather than megadosing on vitamin D, you will be better served by ensuring that you are getting 300 mg to 500 mg of quality magnesium each day. This will activate more of your vitamin D. Doctors rarely ensure that their patients have adequate magnesium in their diet before they prescribe massive doses of vitamin D due to a perceived deficiency. Although you may be moderately deficient in vitamin D, a moderate increase in D coupled with adequate magnesium intake will yield far better results than a massive increase in vitamin D alone. Good choice for a vitamin D supplement
A lot of people have received recommendations from their health care providers to take vitamin D supplements to increase their levels based upon their lower blood tests. It seems to be the latest vitamin fad to take and it's hyped in health and medical articles as being a cure all for almost everything under the sun. Most people dont realize however that its magnesium that actually regulates our levels of vitamin D. The latest research shows magnesium deficiency shuts down the vitamin D synthesis and metabolism pathway. What's more, magnesium was found to have a regulating effect, raising and lowering vitamin D based on baseline levels. In people who had a baseline vitamin D level of 30 ng/mL (75 nmol/L) or below, magnesium supplementation raised their vitamin D level. However, in those who started out with higher vitamin D levels (from ∼30 to 50 ng/mL or 125 nmol/L), magnesium supplementation lowered their vitamin D. Also most people don’t realize that the raw 25-D we get through food and supplements is actually not what our bodies use. We break down this raw Vitamin D into its active form called Calcitriol. This process of turning vitamin D into calcitriol (1,25(OH)2D) is catalyzed by cytochrome P450 enzymes in liver and kidney. Over 600 enzyme systems require Magnesium as a cofactor to function optimally, including the cytochrome P450 enzymes. By consuming an optimal amount of magnesium, we may be able to lower the risks of vitamin D deficiency and optimize our vitamin D levels. By taking excessive amounts of Vitamin D pills when there is an existing imbalance of low magnesium and high calcium levels, it seems this can just further that imbalance rather then help with our health when in that imbalanced state.I've been taking this Nutrigold Vitamin D3 product for 2 years now, and feel that it is a good choice for this particular vitamin in a non excessive amount. It raised my levels during times when I was unable to get adequate healthy sun exposure as I cant fly off to jamaica or hawaii every day. Pills are tiny and I have had good experience with this companys products.

Good Product, Good Price, Small Pill
Easy to swallow softgel pill. Nutrigold products are manufactured to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices). I look for supplements which are manufactured to USP (U.S. Pharmacopeial) standards. As it is hard to find supplements with the USP label, I look for the GMP label. I look forward to trying other Nutrigold products.Update: For those of you who received an offer with your order about a free product, I have attempted to redeem the offer. I am unable to find the "Contact Seller" button on my orders page.Update 2: I contacted Nutrigold about the free product. They responded in timely fashion and sent me my free product. I am impressed.
