This is a very nice looking basic floor lamp. It is super easy to put together.....no tool required. It's just a matter of screwing each section of the pole together. The electrical cord is threaded through the poles so it's not even necessary to figure out what pole connects to the next one. The excess cord is pulled from the base once all the individual poles are screwed together. The base is sturdy....heck it's heavy. The metal is a highly polished brushed silver tone. I believe it's stainless steel. The on/off switch is located on the cord. Now....that could have been positioned higher for ease of access, but it will rest on a short table. The on/off switch is kind of attractive. It's a white 3" disk with a pearlized design.Up to a 100 watt bulb can be used. This lamps gives off a lot of light because no globe or shade is covering the bulb. It's a very simply styled, clean, non fussy lamp. Great price. I'm pleased. If you want to brighten up a room, this will do it.

This lamp is so cute! Super easy to assemble and I love the click button that you can place anywhere to turn it on! Really brings the room together.

I would not put anything valuable and fragile on these shelves but they would work perfectly for alarm clocks, charging stations or non fragile decorative items.The lamp is good for someone single living apartment life as it is low weight and easy to move and looks very good for the price.The only downside is that while it is easy to put together, there are a good number of parts so it takes some time and patience.If you do not need additional asthetics or shelves then stay with the once piece cheaper units. Otherwise, i highly recommend this product.

Beautiful lamp! I was about to purchase the Pottery Barn Payton lamp for $200 and found this one which is a great dupe. When I realized both lamps require assembly of the shade, I decided to go with the dupe. A $200 lamp should not have a rolled self assembly shade. This lamp is sturdy, a great “brass” color and came securely packaged. Very pleased!

DO NOT BUY!I bought this lamp. It showed up and the stand wouldn’t stand up correctly so the lamp was leaning. I reached out to Amazon and they told me it was supposed to look that way. It’s NOT. A week later the light completely went out. I changed the light bulb.. the lamp stopped working. I returned it and asked for a replacement. I was sent a replacement and the lamp actually DOES NOT lean. This one stood up correctly.. I’ve had it for almost 3 weeks now and the light once again went out and the lamp does not work and I’m having to go and return it AGAIN. Do not waste your time or money. The company also will send you a message whenever you purchase this item asking if the lighting on the lamp works. Red flag. Do not buy. Look elsewhere! Super frustrating!

The lamp was not easy to assemble because the section where you screw the pieces together was crooked so I had a lamp bent at a 30-degree angle. I would have returned it but I was tired and spent 45 minutes trying to hammer the threaded attachment straight so that the pieces could screw on straight. I ended up taking pliers and taking the threaded section out and hammering it in straight. Another issue was that the on/off button stopped working the same day it arrived and was assembled. The only reason it's fine is because it's hooked up to the Alexa so we don't have to bother with the button. If I had more time and energy I would have returned it for a different lamp but I didn't want to deal with another return.Other than that, the shade was easy to assemble, and the lamp lights up well with a LED bulb. The lamp also moves so that you can change the angle the light is facing. So if you're trying to recreate the pixar lamp look- boy do I have news for you.Anyways, if it hadn't been for the crooked section and the faulty button, I would say it was worth the purchase.

The media could not be loaded. I LOVE this lamp! We are using this in our nursery and the size is perfect. The remote control is so convenient for late night feedings and middle of the night wake up calls. I like that you can dim the light and still be able to see or read but dark enough to sleep. The color is accurate and it seems pretty durable! Love this purchase!
