This has not helped my tea addiction
That's it, I thought. I'm done. Done waiting for the kettle to boil in between back-to-back meetings, done, flicking that switch, running back to the keyboard to dial in and done forgetting about it for another hour as I'd not been able to find enough time to finish making my cup of tea.I was getting the shakes. I knew I had a tea addition that needed to be fed - well, watered I guess - but also knew that my kettle just wasn't quick enough.Or, should that be, Quook enough?I placed the order, and the next day my Quooker turned up. I was delighted with its sleek silvery goodness, and could almost see the litres of tea waiting to be made. I couldn't wait for a plumber to come round to fit it, so grabbed a couple of spanners and got to work.Within minutes my old tap was off. Within seconds my kitchen was flooded. Within a few more minutes I'd turned off the mains water. Within hours I'd mopped up the mess. The actual installation process was weirdly quick and straightforward - a few quick twists of pipes, a couple of tightened bolts and a plug socket plugged in and we were good to go. And then it happened.INSTANT BOILING WATER.The tea gods smiled on me. They knew I'd soon be drowning in tea the colour of He-Man's chest.I was happy. Finally.Until I realised I was out of milk...

How did I live without it....
I had, what was described as a boiling water tap. Honestly, no comparison. This is a different world. The water is actually boiling, the heater is so quiet, it is so nicely put together.I did attempt to install it myself though and failed, so probably worth having someone do it who knows what they are doing. Worth every penny!

Fundamentally flawed
Whilst having boiling water on tap is undoubtedly great, the Quooker Fusion has been a fantastically disappointing purchase.A tap should turn on and off. The filtered water is needlessly fiddly to turn on and regularly refuses to turn off. We have to turn off the mains water to stop the flow of water, turn the electricity for the tap off and leave it for hours to “reset” before seeing if it’s ready to shut off the filtered water. Quooker have serviced the unit and replaced components without success and have been very lacking as a manufacturer.Would definitely not purchase from them again.
