My wife uses this, for what I don't know.

This NOT AGAR!! THIS IS CHEAP SUGAR WITH SOME AGAR. YOUR BEING CHEATED. EVERYONE HAS SUGAR . Don't believe me. Then ✅ the label.. Forget Mycology. I doubled the AGAR amount when dissolving.. and still didn't fully gel. And I a gotta call Customer Service to get a refund because food can't go back .. Hope this helps

Didn't see it had sugar-- that's my fault. But gels nice and smooth. Clear.

is not obvious that this is a sweeetened product. this is not pure agar agar. good product but contains sugar. my error but will still have use for the product.

If you are using this product in a agar agar recipe you need to make an adjustment to the amount used. I found it takes 23.3 grams per cup of ingredients used (everything). Most recipes are listed with 2~7 grams per cups liquid. Also this product is 90% sugar so only 10% is agar agar. The pictures show a test of one cup made per instructions using 11 grams (Left photo) with sugar, water, yogurt. and strawberries, which will turn you desert mushy the next day. You could fold the cups down but not pick the desert up it was to soft. The Second photo (right side) is a picture of the recipe using 23 grams/cup after 4 hours. The next morning it was still firm with no signs of the strawberries breaking it down. My first test was with 7 grams and that one came out soupy after cooling and was totally soft overnight. Other than that I found the product worked well if you make the adjustment agar agar. My tip off was in the package it said to use 6 cups water per 170 grams agar agar. That would be 28.3 grams per cup.

Love this stuff.. wished it sold a little cheaper.. our local Hmart which carries Asian products sells this guy for $2... I guess it's what I get for delivery convenience...Over all, product is great and I bought more of this stuff as back up..Great for substitution if you prefer Halal jello over gelatin, and it sets much better than jello even at room temps.. I enjoy the thought of knowing I'm eating something that is better for you in terms of food choice...

Very misleading they got me for 6 dollars and some change their is sugar already added so the dessert I'm wishing to make with agar agar only will not set up with this stuff..product itself is probably okay but I feel like I was misled and of course bc it's a food product non returnable! Very disappointed 😞
